No merge is safer than separated usage

greeny-dev

You can do that as a subplan, drag a plan on some other plan, and it becomes a subplan there (you can also select just a few nodes to convert them into a subplan)

greeny-dev

You can do that - on homepage, create a custom version

greeny-dev

Font size can be changed in settings a bit, but this is a common problem

greeny-dev

Yes, you can import a save with different nodes (or even just make custom version with them)

As for the linking, you could make the factories into a subplan - drag them under a parent plan, they will become nodes on that plan

greeny-dev

They always were. Doggos brought them

greeny-dev

Normal? Yeah Recommended? No, not at all, it's a waste of time. Build new, keep old

greeny-dev

Power shards are unlimited tho

greeny-dev

No, the golden rule is to not mix fresh and byproduct water :)

greeny-dev

I don't understand why people use concrete instead of reusing the water, which is much easier

greeny-dev

Merging the two will always be dangerous and can fail. Way simpler and more reliable is to not merge those two

greeny-dev

No, it didn't have a map practically ever

greeny-dev

No, not really. You can go around tbis by setting custom clock speed for that recipe in the overclocking tab.

greeny-dev

nah. Keep old, build new. No reason to dismantle existing stuff

greeny-dev

might want to check it now :) it's heavily updated

greeny-dev

No, it should be up in past X months. https://www.satisfactorytools.com/ works for me.

What issues are you having?

greeny-dev

if you want to give money to devs, buy on epic, they get way more money that way

greeny-dev

because I've troubleshooted like 100s of pipe builds where buffers were causing issues. At best they do nothing, and in other cases they can cause issues, so I see no reason to recommend buffers

greeny-dev

indeed

greeny-dev

if a pipe is full, and machine doesn't produce, that means pipes get slightly emptier, which means that next time the machine will produce just fine. The system will self-balance itself to a level of fluid where it cycles properly. This doesn't cause any issues once it self-balances.

The on-off beahavior is fine when pipes are full (at the start, if you started with full pipes), as that's still in the balancing phase.

Hence buffer is pointless (and it is known to cause other issues in some cases).

Loops solve pretty much all the issues you could have in that case.

greeny-dev

Yes, disable it in settings

greeny-dev

Pipes solve that. They also have "storage space" for fluid. Buffer is just a large pipe
