Sorry choom. I won. I get the car and the money. It's Night City and I'm gonna take it all

grimorg80

You know he's a predator. What more do we need? Fucking grosse piece of shit. On top of the fucking world. I hate this timeline

grimorg80

Yeah. People in Night City do their thing. Who am I to tell her "no, you don't attempt your quest" after I completed a crapload?

grimorg80

So you have no argument besides attacking me.

grimorg80

This. This is one of those massively important structural functions LLMs needed to get closer to how we function. Permanence is a fundamental aspect of the human mind. It always operates, even when sleeping or unconscious, from the moment neurons start firing in the womb until death. And also recursive-self-improvement. That's how our brains constantly tweak and change their "prediction machines". This is gonna lead to ASI. I mean, as one of the many features of a synthetic intelligence. This was needed. I said it many times: at some point these capabilities will arrive and complete the picture.

grimorg80

Using big words doesn't make your argument strong against the reality of capitalism. I'm not against data centers and I'm a heavy AI practitioner. I'm not an anti AI in the slightest, never were. I'm against rampant hyper capitalism. Companies go for the cheapest choice because of shareholder value. Period. No matter how many pages of the vocabulary you throw at it. Whatever bootlicker.

grimorg80

I mean, how many human made movies flop? Does that mean humans can't make good movies? And also .. because this one AI movie flopped, does that mean not a single one human movie will?

Come on folks... Be serious...

grimorg80

It's not but your post implies that voting is enough

grimorg80

So you realise, though, that in Serbia students have been strongly protesting for years, starting with some very violent ones? The difference with everywhere else is that they kept going, organized, and influenced public opinion over the course of many years. It wasn't a boom done thing and certainly it wasn't all peace and love.

grimorg80

Based

grimorg80

Yes. Money is the reason they are building them for cheap next to communities and using their natural resources in the US. Wanna live or want shareholders value?

grimorg80

Excuse me? A delicious cheese sandwich?!

grimorg80

Totally right

grimorg80

I think you are focusing on two things: the worst possible outcomes and your perceived total lack of agency as member of the public.

As I said, and I know it's pointless to reiterate as you are only seeing things one way and nothing else matters as you clearly demonstrated, things can go many ways and it's up to us to make them go in a way that benefits the most.

I'm done with this conversation. Feel free to have the last word to feel better. I promise I won't reply.

grimorg80

Oh dear... How paranoid are you?

grimorg80

I understand very well. I have been wondering and philosophizing over these concepts for decades. Things can always go wrong. Even if we stopped absolutely every research on every single topic things could still go massively wrong.

On the other hand you seem to only see one possible outcome. I would argue that if you love humanity you would work to make sure these technologies are shared and collectively worked on.

grimorg80

Because of generalised automation. For a post labour society we need machines that can do everything.

grimorg80

So, you can get the "become legend and go to space for final mission" ending in many ways, as long as you get V to go back into the body. That's called The Sun ending.

The doing it alone is an option on how to assault Arasaka but you don't just have to wait, you also must have picked the right choices when you are in the trash land looking for Johnny's body. If you pick all the right ones, then you wait 4/5 minutes and Johnny will propose to go at it alone. Otherwise you can wait 30 minutes and he will never propose that

grimorg80

I do. I definitely prefer Valerie.

grimorg80

No, the issue is not having a liberal sense of individual freedom, is ignoring the material circumstance that force many sex workers into sex work, when nothing else is available to them. So are we going to be the ones policing their options because they are immoral? Who decides that? It sounds like we are, from our position of not having to ever consider sex work. Yes, sex work should not exist, like any exploitation. You don't remove it by forcing sex workers out of sex work, though. What's gonna happen to them? And btw, yes, there is a difference between trafficking and sex work in some western countries, and nobody suggests the trafficking one is good in any measure or form. I am just not sold that by making it illegal everywhere it will stop trafficking. Trafficking already works outside the law.

grimorg80

I don't think anyone wants to define sex work as non exploitative. The question is: when given a choice, why should we stop a person from engaging in sex work when in dire situations that is the only way they can avoid destitution. Nobody also argues that sex work is the solution. There should be NO need for sex work. But while capitalism stands, why are we asking for reformist laws against sex work, and not all work? I understand: when sex is involved, things for humans take a different form. But exploitation is exploitation. We are literally saying "while one can continue, the other one shouldn't even if the person can actually make it as a choice". But if the argument is that we are never actually given a choice, then once again, why one can continue while the other can't? And again, this is not about allowing people trafficking or lack of control to continue. If anything, it should be under the sun and heavily regulated until we defeat capitalism or at least until every person is guaranteed at least a basic income for food and sustenance, plus housing, healthcare and education.

grimorg80

You folks are hilarious. Creativity? Those stalls never used high quality handcrafted design.

God your paranoia is exhausting.

Americans, am I right? Leading the world in AI paranoia

grimorg80

Same, I'm also on PS5

grimorg80

Then there's SO MUCH content for you. The limit is your PC, as far as I understand

grimorg80

First of all: PC or console? Second: it's a personal taste choice. I think that if you already did two full playthroughs, you can definitely mod the third one. Mods on PC can dramatically change the balance of the game, combat can be truly something else, visually you can basically revamp it the way you want, and there is a tonne of extra content, cosmetics, UI changes, and more. On console, there's not much yet.
