I don’t think switched is the right word. I just think Chani is brought into the conspiracy. My guess is she will be the leader of the Freeman conspiracy against Paul that blinds him. I think that’s where the emotional turmoil comes from on that worm. Chani sees the damage she’s now done to Paul.
