I've owned my house for 14 years. The first 9 years was pretty minimal in expenses, then in the past 4 years I tun I spent 80 grand cause everything started breaking down at the same time. I've literally replaced every single major appliance in my house
Washer, dryer, hot water tank, water softener, furnace, ac, dishwasher, stove, fridge, range hood, roof, all windows, entrance door, attic insulation, electrical panel, painting entire house, new shed.
And during that time, while not house related, we had to replace both our vehicles.
Some weren't fully necessary, but it has been an extremely expensive 5 years. But now we literally can't think of anything else that is going to need to be replaced for a long time (except maybe cheese freezer).. so hopefully we can finally start actually saving again

Look into hellbringer, you can be rolling 20-30 dice by the end game
harmar21
I didnt find it that bad, honestly it was the table space and inventory that was the worst part and keeping track of their cards.

I disagree. Sometimes a game is right on the cusp of being amazing but one or two little things just annoy you about it. If you can change those things to also be good and the game still feel the same otherwise, then why not? Designers aren't perfect. Which is why often times in reprinting things get changed or balanced. Even the beloved mage knight and spirit island had changes
I agree if a game is bad I'm not rewriting the rules for the entire game because what's the point, but a small tweak here or there to fit your play style or enjoyment why not when it is solo?
Now I think the op made a pretty major change, which I'm not sure I would do, but as a person who also doesn't like randomness, it is interesting

I played both. They are quite different. I think I liked middara more because of the character builds. The story is much more anime though. There is also much more content of that interests you.
Agemonia has a really cool health/stamina system though, and their maps with the POI is really interesting.
I don't think you could go wrong with either one to be honest.
harmar21
I do 21.5 during the day and 17.5 at night. 25 would be way too hot
harmar21
Just started another Primal campaign, so I'll probably be playing that for the next month or two.
Also got Fliptown, actually really fun flip and write, especially with the campaign mode. Played it like 15 times in a week.

Getting a dedicated table was the best for me.
Like I've had plenty of weeks like this. Day 1. I kinda feel like playing this game. I'll set it up. Get it set up, eh I'm too tired. Next day play a couple turns/rounds, then have enough. Third day not feeling it, or too tired or not enough time. Fourth day play a few more rounds. 5th day finish the game. 6th day pack it up or reset it.
Like if I'm playing a solo game that takes more than an hour and a half, I rarely get it done in one sitting. I love having the freedom of just taking a turn or two without having toto commit hours and hours

Wilmot doing it and it has been fine.
harmar21
Wilmot has online voting. I voted online on friday, done in 3 minutes.
harmar21
I watched the debate and was very unimpressed with her answers. Fence sitting seemed like a good descriptor.

same here around 2019 or so. so boring. honestly I think it was the worst concert I went to (not that I been to many). Between starting an hour late, to being a 3 hour show on top of that, im surprised we didnt leave after 2 hours.
harmar21
my kids was like this. SHe literally would eat almost anything with no problem. Becase we never complained about food or made a big deal about it. Literally within days of her starting daycare where they provided the food, all of a sudden food was yucky or gross and wouldnt eat a bunch of stuff because she learned other kids complained about food...
harmar21
I bypassed the switch and everything worked fine which means had to be the switch. so i ordered a new switch
harmar21
lol that looks awesome. I just wouldnt want salt everywhere in my house. looks like a fun outdoor activity though.
harmar21
Of all the games I've played here are my worst offenders
Voidfall. About 30-45 minutes of setup
Frostpunk I think 30ish?
Mr president about 45 min to an hour
Euthia 45 to an hour. So many decks/tiles. I can't even imagine what it would be like with new expansion. I think the original unboxing took me like 5 hours. I think there was something like 45 sheets of punchboard components.
harmar21
Yeah I switched to yaak. A lot better experience
harmar21
Yeah i have the same question. I watched the debate the other night.
Clive just gave off bad vibes, like he wasn't prepared and didn't care.
Kris talked well but I tight he a bit unrealistic. Yeah property taxes are up but that is do to decades of it being too low. I think it completely unrealistic to tie property tax to inflation, I don't think that would be enough.
Stephanie seemed kinda like a dreamer to me.
I didn't have an issue with what Natasha has done. She was well spoken and clearly has experience. I think I'll end up voting for her.
The ward 4 candidates I have no clue though, and I didn't listen to the full debate.
From the little I watched I didn't care for what Steven Martin was saying, also a bit too old.
I did like what Krista had to say, and will probably be my vote, but again I don't really have much to base anything on.

I really enjoyed about 1/2 to 3/4 of it but then I had to power through the last 1/4. The keyword hunting got monotonous since you had this big map and not always easy to find. Especially with all the travel. Eventually I just cheated and allowed myself to "fast travel" and not use stamina, and use he hint card without paying.
One of my biggest gripes is if you put it down for say two or three weeks you basically had to write notes so you know where you were going and what you were trying to accomplish
harmar21
Haha I also have both of those coming at nearly same time.. oh god
harmar21
Yeah that was my first thought with their requirements
harmar21
My grandmother passed away a few years back. We were cleaning out her place and found a few interesting things - a box of KD that was 15 years old.. the yellow powder was no longer yellow and was orange.
But the biggest find was cleaning out her chest freezer and finding a margarine container labelled apple sauce 1985. Literally as old as I was. I opened it up just to see what it looked like but it was completely freezer burnt with basically just icecrystals in the container.

No I dont like dice unless every dice has a roll and isnt a dud. So games with 'skill' checks from dice rolls are a big miss for me.
I only have a few dice rollers in my collection as I got rid of them all.
Only ones I have left are Too many bones - uses for all dice, and often times you want the bones/misses
One deck dungeon - tons of mitigation
CDMD - game is just good and can get rerolls
Dice forge - not my favourite but my wife loves it.

which is crazy to me, as I find duster to be in my bottom 3 gearlocs, and stanza is fairly complicated for a brand new player.
I got a two stage ego last year, the thing is a beast and chews through everything. I previously been using a shovel for the past 30 years. I'll still use shovel for anything that is under 2-3 inches and light.
