No, unfortunately not. Sorry we were late to respond. This was only during three weekends in September. If you would still like to support, you can drop off items in our blue donation barrels that are at your local Price Chopper, Hy-Vee, Hen House or Dillons. Thank you!

We love this so much. The Hope Market is the best! Thank you for supporting them and bringing awareness to their organization through video. We won't say no to the offer! We'd love to repost any video you are willing to create that sheds light on food insecurity and help others. Just give us a tag.

This food drive is hosted by KSHB 41, and because it is a perishable food drive, Hen House offered to help host at one of their stores to give community members a convenient way to donate in person. Hen House is also one of our Grocery Store Recovery partners where they regularly donate food to us and our pantry network all year long, and the Ball family has been a huge financial supporter of Harvesters over the years. We know grocery prices are high right now and not everyone is in a position to donate, which is completely understandable. We are grateful for any extra item people are able to donate.
harvestersorg
For this food drive purpose, unfortunately not. But if you are licensed food business or producer, we can accept donations at our facility, but they need to be labeled with packer name and address and kept under 45 degrees. Thank you for thinking of us!

I will check on this for you!

All of the food comes back to our food bank in Kansas City and gets distributed throughout our service area.
harvestersorg
Not in this area? You can also make a monetary donation online that can be stretched even further since our food bank can purchase additional food in bulk for a lower cost: www.harvesters.org/fillthefridge.

Lawful permanent residents of 5+ years, Cuban and Haitian entrants and Compact of Free Association (COFA) citizens are eligible for SNAP. Refugees, asylees, victims of domestic violence or sex trafficking, and tribal members born abroad are no longer eligible for SNAP due to changes in H.R. 1. The public charge rule is brand new, so there is a lot of grey area. From what we can tell, SNAP benefits received before September, 18, 2026 are not counted in this rule, but moving forward they can be considered. The Public Charge rule applies mainly to family-based green card applicants. Refugees, asylums and some humanitarian categories are exempt.

Yes, you can drop them off at Admissions.

We serve Bates, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Henry, Jackson, Johnson, Lafayette, Ray and Platte.
This was a national survey and is not necessarily a direct reflection of local utilities in Kansas City. With cost of living high, we wanted to share helpful resources with our community.
