I’m November 9th-23rd :(

Hello. I'm currently a Programmer with ERP experience and was wondering if this is a niche worth staying in or is it better to expand to other areas of software development?

hashtaters

That’s fair. The email for BSW advisors is:
[email protected]

If you have questions about your major before you attend you can probably send them to this email and see what responses you receive.

Do you have any ideas on what major you might switch to or is that still in the air?

Make sure you know your unit count (affects financial aid), the prerequisites of the new major and what you’ve taken that will count, and speak to your counselor. I’d even reach out to the counselors that handle the new major (if different than the old).

But look into all of the requirements of the new major and see what you’ve already completed. Then it becomes a thing of changing majors formally (to help with Registration) and follow the university and college requirements. I found that meeting with my counselor once a semester helped me immensely and I was able to graduate in 3 semesters instead of 4 (took 18 units for two semesters)

Are you a transfer student or incoming freshman?

hashtaters

Nice. Yeah. The Surface Duo was such a fun device but after I left it I went back to iPhone. I know a lot of duo users on this sub seem to have gone stuck with android but it never felt right to me.

hashtaters

Nice. Thank you! How are you enjoying it so far?

hashtaters

Ohhh this is cool. I miss the Surface Duo. Can’t wait for my new Duo to arrive. What case are you using?

hashtaters

I say let the people cancel. I’ll be a guinea pig for the software updates Apple pushes. And as a reward I will take my delivery date being pushed forward.

Let the fear push them to cancel.

Although I know what I’m getting into. Had a Galaxy Fold 6 at one point but was not happy with Android. Swore I’d get the first folding phone Apple made. Wasn’t expecting the passport but I also owned a Microsoft Duo at one point and enjoyed the size of that device.

hashtaters

Congrats! I’m looking at November 9th-23rd for Delivery. Hoping it comes through towards the front half of that time frame lol

hashtaters

What’s your shipping date?

hashtaters

Man that was me. Did everything early and I was waiting in the app and boom. Cart gone.

Was in the queue but when I selected trade in, it wanted my IMEI number. Went to check for it and lost spot in queue. Entered queue again and phone went to sleep. Opened my phone and spot lost again. Finally just stayed on and everything just went smooth. Shipping is from November 6-20

hashtaters

I got pushed back to mid November after being removed from queue several times

hashtaters

That's mine as well

hashtaters

What the actual fuck happened?!?! I had it in my cart like they said to do then as soon as preorders opened everything was just gone. What was the point of putting everything together beforehand? And now it's asking me for my IMEI number and when i go to enter that it says I lost my spot? Oh and if the device sleeps I lose my spot too. What a fucking shit show from this company,

Personally I enjoyed my coursework at East Bay. But I made school and work my life (also was an older transfer student) so I didn’t care much for the social aspects. Courses can be tough depending on the subject matter and your knowledge going into the course. I found that projects were reasonable if tough at times but speaking to professors is something I encourage. Especially if you’re struggling in a class. I hear the community college courses were tougher than some of the classes at East Bay but I was also not from the Bay so I can’t say how true that statement is. What makes you want to go to East Bay? What other obligations will you have outside of school? Do you work on projects in your spare time to grasp technologies?

I went here a few years ago and enjoyed my time but I’ll be honest. It’s a brutal market for new grads and in the Bay Area the school isn’t seen as anything special when you have Berkeley, Stanford, and even SJSU (which may just be lucky with proximity to the Valley). SFSU is also lucky to be in San Francisco so they have proximity to those offices as well in the city. East Bay is just removed from it all by distance.

hashtaters

Hey OP. Sorry but they moved the time back by 10 minutes. It sucks but we’re all in this together! Hope there’s stock.

hashtaters

Let’s go Starset!!! Just listened to that song earlier today.

hashtaters

Both displays from what I remember reading

hashtaters

Not sure if you saw. SBD rescinded his invite

hashtaters

SoCal. I was a transfer student that needed a degree.

hashtaters

Hhmm. Fairly standard from what I remember. Some classes had more projects while others were more theoretical. Theory ones were something like 2/3 midterms and a final and the practical had a couple midterms, a final and maybe 3 or 4 projects

hashtaters

Her videos are out of date at this point. Even when I went they were because of staff changes.

hashtaters

I enjoyed most of my professors when I went but the faculty has had some retirements since my time (22-23).

In terms of prestige or rigor I think East Bay isn’t as big as SJSU or Berkeley or Stanford. You’re sort of the black sheep of the schools in the Bay. You’ll learn what you put in and focus on. But the school itself won’t necessarily open a ton of doors.

I learned a lot because I focused on my education and I found a job out of the Bay Area in my home
City. So the degree helped a ton in that regard
