Even at 10.. 15k/10 is 1.5k per tech.. run. That is a poor ratio. Whatever path you choose.. choose to take it elsewhere than where you are currently at.

I mean.. now you know what you can do with the water byproduct from aluminum production, lol.

Part of it could be bitch work for the newbie, another could be a reg or compliance requirement, but for me it is a learning opportunity for your environment.. as well as to build trust for those who play the Trust Game with new hires. While I can see merit in doing this with junior admins, it is different doing it with new senior admins.

Feed the SIEM for all the things.

Just a happy accident. I see the back of a skull of skele man walking away, just fill in a body.

Fits the season.

Damn, some techbro beat me to registering amiaiornot.com.

headcrap

Our public org does not, bc we know wtf we are doing with public records.

So either your systems ingested too many X Files videos.. trust no one…. Or, cyber implemented that zero-trust policy finally.

My money is on X Files.

I have a coworker or two who could be replaced by AI, ngl..

Some stand-alone VMs on the nodes failed to save state.. including the two DCs on each node a the 2-nodes.. not not all 2-nodes.

Made the site sad without DNS et all..

I rolled instant recovery in 2025, well before the new certificate was rolling out. Does sound like some interplay with the new cert. Have you tried changing the template to MS UEFI Cert Authority by chance? I've needed that for some Linux VMs as of late..

Fix the lighting issues and I will.

For laundering their own money, and not laundering the administration's "friends & family plan" money

But.. 4 machines on 8 floors or 8 machines on 4 floors for that 32 count..

headcrap

This run I've been patterning my floors.. was running 3x8 for a bit until going 3x10.. but with adding refineries it became 5x10 and 40m between floors rather than the 20m (10 walls high instead of 5).

Some of the smaller factories were a smaller form, just went vertical because joy.

Okay.. maybe quickwire was a horizonal slop spread.. maybe I'll go back and enclose it <shrug>.

headcrap

I mean.. if you like having a belt buckle light up with B-Lizzle.. go wild. Me, I'll pass...

26H3... a typo? The third half?

Getmemebers failed to get the meme.. bers.
Restart your Bowser service, Mario..

Thirded! Current run is a rando, the other players on my dedi went with all Pures. It does present the "challenge" of utilizing as much from the nodes as possible.. which in itself "delays" some of the progression because the factories end up bigger.

Agreed, I love having to figure out what to do with how the nodes ended up laid out on the map.
Okay.. I did load the save into SCIM to get a quick overview before heading out to build beyond the first base.. wasn't feeling pinging for resources constantly before radar capability.. could have added to the fun factor but the others wanted the map.. so there we are.

Isn't as "automatic" as multiple runs end up being, where you have your build and progresson patterns.

Last was 40GW oil so I could move on HMF. HMF is out at that "pit" in the dune desert.. where commonly a coal power plant sits along the water down the cliff. Not this time!

Reminds me when I ran the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool.. and it uninstalled Windows.

I miss my family.. sometimes.

Ting was a Jack & Diane hire back at CWS.. need I say more? They put her in charge of IT.. that was a disaster from what I hear.

headcrap

I only did the once, intentionally, when I sought to centralize firewall profile rules using g GPO. Then I left that job.

Consider a test restore to check on what flushed out your local rules.. my money is on a bad update or errant automations somewhere.
