Speaking as a career software developer, there's a big difference in what the end result is between "I asked AI to make a thing" and "I understood what I wanted, used AI to facilitate design and implementation, tested and iterated until I got my desired output"

This kind of mod isn't a result you would practically get from asking claude to make this mod. That's not how AI works.

I know, right? I bet they also use auto complete on their phone keyboard instead of artisanally crafting out every word by hand.

But for real though, slop is slop. AI makes it easier to make slop, but it also makes it easier to make really cool things and this is absolutely in that latter category of really cool things.

This is pretty much exactly the build I used with the queen yesterday on my first run at her.

I found that your strategy is going to be key here. Main thing is find a route that gives you distance from her. I had a lot of success with kiting her around the top floor, killing the little buggers when they got close and slamming her with staff of embers from across the way.

If I ever got overwhelmed then I'd jump off the ledge and use cape of feathers to float to the bottom, then work my way back up to the top once I heal and gather myself.

In my experience the only thing worth throwing away is pukeberries and sharpening stones. Everything else has a use and while you have more than you need right now, there will come a time when you need that thing and won't have constant incoming supply of it from the biome you're in.

I found yagluth to be fairly easy solo with this strategy:

• kite him around the stone pillars, you always have plenty of cover
• use fire resistance mead
• when he raises his head, hide
• when he raises his left hand, hide
• when he raises his right hand, dodge the blast and get lots of hits in while you burn a little

How often do trees smoosh them? Hopefully all the time.

Turn drop rate up to 2-3x, relax portal requirements.

The game is fun, but can be overshadowed by how much of a grind it can be.

Not sure if the mod handles it, but a while back someone tested the crafting skill and saw that if you craft multiple at once you only have a single chance to get bonus materials, so it's more economic to craft one by one.

I repaired my steam install and it seems to be all okay now.

I've been trying a bunch of different things to figure out what's going on here, and it definitely seams like a bug in the cloud save handling for Valheim.

If I move it to local then it works fine, but then I can't sync to other devices.

If I move this world to cloud then a save doesn't stick and it shows as 'deleted' in the save menu. restoring it from there will let me load it and move it back to local, but it will not allow saving while it's in that state. Keeping it local seems like the best workaround right now.

This is specific to my PC and this one save file, as new save files seem to work fine, and the same save file on my steam deck also works fine.

I went down a rabithole trying to figure out what's going on, and I think there may be some problem with the cloud save upload.

Did you happen to do any restoring of a save from a backup? I did that around the time that I had the problem, and now it appears that I'm seeing all my backups in the steam cloud saves, but not seeing the actual world save make its way there.

I'm also seeing this. I played a few hours last night, and when I logged today my character save updated but my world save did not progress at all.

I tried fiddling with my world save backups a bit, but now every time I log into the game my world save shows "deleted" in the manage saves menu. If I restore it I can load it, but then when I log out again it shows deleted again.

Wouldn't those items be flagged as cheat items?
