I can never, ever make fun of an arrow knock.

For a play in 6th grade I had to pantomime shooting an arrow, one fist near my face and the other far from my body. I kept "releasing" the arrow with the hand that should have been "holding" the bow.

Looking back, I'm not pissed that my best friend and fiancée became a couple. I'm not upset that that I spent so much time writing her 1-2 times a week while I was deployed. I'm upset that the majority of the people in my detachment knew what was happening and didn't tell me.

In my experience the hate isn't directed at PB as much as the forces that work toward keeping it alive.

I speak from a contract I was on in 2014 where PB's role in the project was artificially inflated/not excised because that was two of the employee's job security. %95 of new code was in written in C++ and C#, with weird extraneous hooks back in to PB to handle something in the database.

Every trip I make is 100 miles, so just filling up once every 3 days still feels like a hassle. Also, filling is an easy checkpoint, I don't know of any nozzles that you can set to "half".

No tied finances or kids and the less tame parts of a relationship have already come to the surface? It sounds like you are ahead of the game in some respects.

I used to make fun of folks who said they couldn't "focus" on something, but I've had to fight to stay on task since the election.

I don't think the car gets better, you just become more nuanced and patient with age. I'm also boring and spend a lot of time in the right-hand land with cruise control set to 5 over.

She made the car payments/insurance on it for 18 months when I was out of work, she can drive it whenever she wants to.

I have a Google spreadsheet doc that I've been putting these numbers in to for a while now. They always had charting capabilities but a few months ago they added in an "Explore" tab/button that guesses at comparisons you'd like to make on data in the spreadsheet. For instance, it suggested a chart that looked at gas prices over time.
