No Trek is logically consistent. Ship sizes are all over the place. So much technology just works or doesn’t work as the plot needs. Voyager fired so many more torpedoes than they started with.

This isn’t a criticism of Star Trek. It was never really science fiction (though it was closer than Star Wars). That’s just how it is. I’m also not saying you should like new Trek, but if your criticism is that it’s not consistent, then your criticism is inconsistent.

It depends on the sword. I have a replica Anduril and Glamdring hanging in the den on either side of a huge map of Middle-Earth. It’s awesome and I never get tired of it.

I also have a hand and a half sword that’s just a legit sword instead of a prop replica; it stays under the bed for home defense but I don’t look at it very often.

That car couldn’t be driven on an interstate or major highway in most states; there are laws the govern that. If a car is incapable for going more than 30 mph, it would be illegal to take it on an interstate.

But, sure, if you want to go the speed limit in the right lane, totally fine. Even the middle lane. But too many people make a beeline for the left lane and then go slower than traffic. I think they’re scared of navigating exits and entrances.

I know one guy who firmly believes that there’s nothing wrong with camping in the left lane going exactly the speed limit while people going 15+ faster than him go around him. He doesn’t see it as dangerous at all, nor will he acknowledge that the left lane is for passing. According to him, since he’s going the speed limit there should be no reason anyone would ever need to go faster.

It just depends on your area and the roads. The biggest danger for speed (excluding excessive speed) is the differential between traffic and any one vehicle. If you’re driving 20 mph under the speed of traffic, that’s dangerous even if you’re legally in the right.

The Baltimore beltway is basically a 70 mph road half the time, despite a 55 mph speed limit. Cops generally won’t pull over anyone maintaining their lane and not being a jerk unless they’re going 75+. Going 50 mph on that highway should be fine but IMO it would be dangerous. It’s an enforcement problem.

I’m just going off of what it says. I can’t assume the intention behind it. It says I can only pick two, it doesn’t say I can only have two, so there’s no reason I can’t work to get the others there normal way.

The thought experiment says to “pick only two”, it doesn’t say you can’t figure out the others. If you have massive wealth, you can figure out how to have free time and all the rest.

That looks like a standard Schrader valve. Take the nut off, go to Home Depot/Lowes and find the thread size. Then you know what to look for to get a small eye loop you can thread on and then make a strap from some fitted sheet straps.

That is in large part because he had poured a large part of his power into Arda and his servants. This left him weaker than he would otherwise have been, but it also means his evil will never leave Arda until it is remade, regardless of what happens to Morgoth.

He’s not tempted for one day. We don’t have insight into whatever internal struggle he may have had. I don’t doubt that he would not have fallen the way Boromir did, but he would have been tempted.

Add the Super Adapter. It never made sense to me that Bass got a Treble Adapter (which was ridiculously strong) while Mega Man didn’t. Also, so much of the game is tough as Mega Man because of the lack of double-jump, which the SA Super Adapter would fix. It wood still be restricted to semi-late game, but it would really have made things easier.

Lots of other tools have model names. You have to differentiate them, plus marketing benefits from having model names as well.

Yes, but it’s still just numbers. All 4s move you backwards, for example. The numbers do different things, but they all do it consistently, there aren’t exceptions. A single D12 with a key written on the board would work, I believe. Just replace the 12 with an exclamation point for the Sorry! card.
