I second that these rubber/silicon bristles do not work. If you haven’t used it, return it, or you will be replacing it very quickly with something that actually scrubs

Have you checked on https://vacationpointexchange.com? Since its near end of the year there are a lot of posts where you can rent from owners at a discount

I updated my original post with additional info after getting the charges to go through. It was an issue on the card issuers’ side. Original Chase agents did not see the charge until escalated to specialist because the charges were blocked by Visa, before they hit the bank

Beautiful work

I don’t know the answers to your other questions, but as far as value, Westin Kaanapali North probably has significantly more resale value than all the other properties you listed because it is a mandatory resort. Meaning that at resale the point value can be used by the buyer to access other properties. You can easily research the resale value of each property on websites like Redweek and Tug.

As far as flexibility in the system, I would say it is limited. Planning about 1 year out would help you with availability, anything short of that could be difficult. It also depends on how you plan to use the system. If you are sticking with the week you own then there should not be a problem. If you want to play with location and timing it would require advanced planning. I know for sure that the Maui location is a decent value for the maintenance fee, Lagunamar is pretty good as well.

It’s been a while so I can’t remember specifically what they were. But I do remember that the sales team was the most experienced one we have spoken with. I had a lot of complains about the program and they were able to educate me about some of the finer points that helped me down the road. They also offered products that are slightly different than other locations (weeks/points bundles specifically designed to appeal to us.) I remember walking out thinking that I got some useful information out of this meeting rather than a complete waste of time most other presentations are.

Muses Doll fashion are limited in quantity but usually their seasonal lines are not OOAK. I just participated in their most recent preorder and they had about 15 outfits and 600 sales. I would imagine about 50 is produced in each style

https://www.lovelyeveryone.com This is the new forum that just got started to replace DoA. They have a marketplace there. I always found it easier to sell on DoA marketplace than Discord so maybe give it a try! Also have been seeing some Coral Reef dolls on eBay so that’s an option too

She looks beautiful! Leaf loss from change in location and repotting is normal, def only water when top 2” of soil is dry though. Why do you want to propagate? Is your goal reshaping the plant or are you trying to get new plants? Either way, depending on where you are located spring is a better time for propagation. And personally I would wait until your plant seems happy before doing anything else that would shock it more

I strongly prefer resin eyes over glass eyes, and prefer medium to low dome to high dome. Even though high dome is supposed to be more reflective, depending on the doll sculpt, I feel like the high dome eyes are frequently more inset and actually catch less light than the low dome. Here is a comparison of my doll with high dome resin eye on the left and low dome on the right, both 14mm.

One of my issues with glass eyes is actually that the dome is frequently too high. I also find that resin eyes allow you to see more details in the eyes more easily. I’ve had some high quality resin eyes for over 10 years and haven’t seen any yellowing, but ymmv, especially depending on the manufacturer

She’s not going to be labeled since she’s not a new doll, just my travel doll! Hopefully that will be ok. I’ll be sure to dress her! I usually only keep her in her undergarments when traveling to prevent wrinkling her outfits but I’ll definitely make sure she’s more covered up in this case

icyraincloud

Thanks! Yea usually when I’m traveling I keep her in just her undergarments (and head in separate head box) but I will make sure she’s fully dressed for this trip

Thank you. I vaguely remember reading about collectors struggling in Islamic countries as well. I’ll go see if I can dig up that post!

This is fantastic! Thank you so much!

Just out of curiosity, why Amex? I had the AmEx Bonvoy Bold and decided to switch to the Chase Boundless because it made more sense with the rest of my card lineup,

icyraincloud

I called Chase again and they escalated my issue and got me to a security specialist, who explained that their normal agent was unable to see the charges because it was blocked by Visa and never quite reached the bank. This is probably why the second card worked once, since it was a Mastercard. The second call to Chase was kind of interesting too because the agent knew why I was calling and escalated it without me having to state the issue. It's funny that it was extra difficult to pay with the Chase Boundless since it's a co-branded card with Marriott

icyraincloud

I would have tried other cards under other circumstances but it was just a little unusual to have to pay through a bank link so I’m extra cautious, especially after having issues with two separate cards. Definitely don’t want to accidentally give a fraudulent website all of my card numbers days before an international trip

icyraincloud

I’m not using a VPN but our network has a built in firewall. I’ve tried making the payment on a phone and on a computer. My other card basically blocked the payment and sent me a text asking if it was me, when I confirmed that it was me, I was able to make another attempt and the payment went through. This is what I meant by manually unblocking

icyraincloud

Have you tried soaking them in either laundry detergent or dawn with warm to hot water? I haven’t dealt your exact issue but I’ve had good luck cleaning my grill and grill tools that way, including ones with silicon and plastic parts. Let them soak until at least the water cools. (Perhaps test the soak on a small part first to make sure it’s safe on the paint)

It is never worth it buying from the developers. Possibly worth it if you buy it on the secondary market and fully understand how to use it

icyraincloud

It’s actually vacationpointexchange.com. No s. Site is working

icyraincloud

We did one at Desert Oasis and learned a lot there. We were very impressed by the level of knowledge

icyraincloud

Wow that is an amazing FLF you got there! So beautiful! I would say if it likes where it is at keep it there. They really like a lot of light. And make sure to let the top soil dry out between watering and water thoroughly each time

I’ve seen a few different people doing it and it basically comes down to this:

  1. Apply a layer of clear Pan Pastel to make sure the colors apply evenly
  2. Apply whatever color you prefer to balance out the yellow. I see some people use light lavender and some light blue. This step could be optional
  3. Apply layers of white as needed
  4. Seal

If someone is doing this over face up I saw some people putting putty over the existing line work to preserve it. Others just kind of carefully dusted around it. It does cover blushing so that will need to be reapplied after the color balancing is done

I don’t think they sealed before and between layers. Seems like the sealing on the original faceup makes it sufficiently grippy. But if it isn’t you may need to seal before the pastel applications too

I imagine the longevity is similar to a normal faceup but don’t really know for sure

Edit: forgot to mention that people said you will need to remove and reapply lashes because the sealing will coat the lashes and make them look bad. Also added another photo of someone in the middle of balancing the yellow with light purple. She said she was using PanPastel 470.8

icyraincloud

I’ve seen some pretty dramatic results on XHS, some even do it over existing face up with minimum impact to the face up. Since you don’t have to redraw the more intricate line work it is pretty tempting to try to DIY!
