This can actually trip people up. For example, [[Augur of Autumn]] has very similar language in "You may play lands from the top of your library" or "... you may cast creature spells from the top of your library," but both of these do have timing restrictions for a couple of reasons. You would need to dig into the rules rather than rely on the printed text to understand why.
