the buy menu itself is fine but can we please change the numbers back to what it was. I've been buying the same way for 20 years and now I have to go b1 to buy armor and kit and b5 for nades? confusing as hell for no reason.

ihatesciencealot

Hello

ihatesciencealot

Sorry not for sale. haha.

ihatesciencealot

Moving and unfortunately can't bring this with us. Bought less than three years ago from bobs furniture. Very comfortablelove seat. Some scratch marks from a cat but other than that in goodcondition. $400 but price negotiable. Pick up only from East Elmhurst

I think the reason why use a proxy.pac in the first place though is because we have internal sites and configurations that redirect directly to those internal sites. I should've mentioned before but the proxy.pac I pasted was a barebones version of the entire proxy.pac file that has configurations for SSO, internal sites, etc. that send directly there.

Using a transparent proxy could be an option in the future which I will definitely explore, but in the mean time I do need to make this proxy.pac work.

ihatesciencealot

What is a transparent proxy?

In changing the clients' default gateways to the proxy, is the flow of traffic as follows?: client > directed to proxy via gateway settings> internet. as opposed to client > gateway > directed to proxy by proxy.pac > internet

ihatesciencealot

oops you're right. should be 255.255.0.0. I will test.

EDIT: changed the subnet but traffic still doesn't show up in the access.log file Also found this: https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/pactester/0.0.1 but a bit weary about downloading from untrusted repos. Do you have a recommendation on which pactester to use on windows?

ihatesciencealot

Scrantonicity

ihatesciencealot

Nope. Just the one ethernet network adapter. I don't even have a wireless card.

ihatesciencealot

Good idea. Thanks for your help.

So I did a before and after:

  1. ipleak.net - Before turning on VPN, it showed me my public IP address, and a DNS server one state over. After turning on the VPN, it still shows me the same public IP address but now there are 3 DNS servers showing including the same one from before. The two additional DNS servers are on the same subnet, and value apart (x.x.x.48 and x.x.x.49)

  2. dnsleaktest.com - Before turning on the VPN, it showed me a DNS server IP that's in the same subnet as the DNS server from the ipleak.net test, in the same state as the ipleak.net test, and the ISP says icloud private relay. After turning on the VPN, it shows 2 DNS servers: 1 is the same from before and the other matches one of the new servers from ipleak.net (x.x.x.49)

Before and after turning on the VPN, the NordVPN site says I am unprotected.

ihatesciencealot

Yeap. Still showed that I was unprotected. Weird thing is if I do an ipconfig /all i can see the Nordlynx tunnel adapter being active.

I did install the nordvpn extension onto my browser as a workaround and now I can 'protect' myself. But my question still stands: If im connected via the NordVPN app, shouldn't all traffic be going through the vpn?

ihatesciencealot

By unprotected I mean if i go to the nord website there is a small banner on top that says I am unprotected and shows me my IP address. I also followed the steps here: https://nordvpn.com/blog/check-vpn-working/

Is sharone the setter with the turban? Sorry I don’t really know any of their names.

ihatesciencealot

Nah I don't. I've seen them play a few times though. Actually now that I think about it, the video I saw was probably a bit older, like 2004-2006.

ihatesciencealot

Can't seem to find that pakmen 18u hitting lines video from around 2009 ish? It's the one where there's a few of them that bounce it to the ceiling. Also their setter was wearing a turban if that helps in identifying the video. Anyone know where to find/watch it?

ihatesciencealot

OK got it. Thanks I think I understand now.

ihatesciencealot

Gotcha, so mudding = filling in gaps/holes with joint compound. Thanks for the help.

As for skimming, why would one need to skim over new drywall surface if the drywall is already flat? I will be putting subway tiles where the backsplash would go so is skimming there necessary even if the drywall is flat? Also is skimming new drywall necessary if you want to paint? Or can you paint directly on the drywall?

ihatesciencealot

Thanks.
