I'm in gov't and I believe public opinion matters. 2 isn't going to make anything easier by voting yes. 1 is a no because it can easily become an ADA issue especially with outdoor dining and I think a community should have input on what goes into a neighborhood. I think lumping benches and ramps in with outdoor dining is a bad idea. They are not the same. Ramps and benches can be seen as adding accessibility and outdoor dining is the opposite. Also, adding benches depending on where it is can be make an area inaccessible. That's why it doese matter what the community thinks because when you don't live in the area you really don't know how it can become a problem.

Getting what you actually need ... a bed and mattress. You do not need a fully furnished apt. Some pots, plates, cups, etc for the kitchen (most you can legit get from dollar tree because you don't even need a full set).

Having a full time job that pays well. This economy is terrible and you need to have a job that pays well plus money saved up. Nobody is going to rent to you without this in this market if you are unemployed.

Like legit you need to stay with your parents and find a job. It's not the market to think you can just move on a whim and somene will rent to you unless you are looking for a room and even then a roommate would want to see that you have money and savings unless they are shadey af.

My job has AI and we cannot put PII in it. I do not use it because my job works with PII so what's the point of using it. It just seems silly and I understand why you cannot put PII in it, but why give us access then get upset if people use it incorrectly. People have lost their jobs over putting PII into chatgpt and other AI tools that my job does not use, which is insane because I believe our job is tracking us and it's odd to go on a computer that you are being tracked on and go on chatgpt and put PII in it on the computer that is tracking you. I don't know if it has happened with tools that we do use because the training on AI has been terrible and most of what we use involves PII so I'm confused why I would be using it.

I think it's a good budget. He does need to build an emergency fund tho.

I saw the brokerage and I was hoping maybe it was money they put in their brokerage to buy a house in the future. My friend and I have done that, but it's not the majority of my brokerage. To liquidate the whole thing is crazy, but I don't know how much OP liquidated and it sounds like OP couldn't afford the house and even now really can't.

If you are taking your child somewhere ... you shouldn't care about spoilers because it would be more important to protect your child. It's not a love story if someone is a SLAVE. IT IS RAPE. If you don't have your own apt, yea you probably can't host people. Now if you live alone, there is always the couch imo. I would def host my friends, but I live alone.
