On a similar note, would it be okay to automatically install system files only (found under Settings -> General -> Software Update -> Automatic Updates -> System Files)?

Holy shit this would be amazing for playing RuneLite - a third-party client for OSRS

Yea I suppose it's a First World problem. According to my 18 Pro's panel serial, it's a GVC whilst my 15 Pro is a G9N. Obviously it's not the end of the world, but I wasn't liking the display from the moment I was setting the phone up, so I'm worried that I'll be able to pick at that detail every now and then. Though, now that you mention how it's harder to come by a G9N, I'm not looking forward to playing the lottery until I get one.

EDIT: Honestly this GVC is growing on me after doing a grayscale color comparison. Though, the brightness is still a concern for me, but it seems easily manageable since all I have to do is disable auto brightness to remove that cap.

Honestly IRL I preferred the one on the right, the 15 Pro. Perhaps it's because I am more used to it. Nevertheless, I was judging by how vivid/bright it was compared to the 18 Pro. Although, if I disable auto brightness, it seems like it'll uncap the brightness and the 18 Pro gets better.

TIL

Thanks for the additional information. I wish I came across this video before setting up my phone because now I'm tempted to return and try to get a better display.

Ironman, can't say I'm surprised. At this point, Jagex isn't trying to hide the RNG boost. /s

I wish they would release practice mode already. People have already gotten world's firsts, so what's the hold up?

infinitay_

Filth. No integrity at all.

Thank you for being upfront about your AI usage.

Aw rip. I have my own bad experience with losing my data on iOS 17 which is why I responded with my OC. I was sideloading on iOS 17.0.3 and was trying to bypass the app ID limit with SparseBox. There was a reset feature to undo SparseBox which I ran. It sent me to hello process, and that was intended but the documentation said you could bypass it, but that wasn't the case for me. Unfortunately I didn't have a backup as I thought I did. Lost a year's worth of family photos and passed away family. Still hurts to this day and that's why I started bimonthly backups at the least.

then restored my phone via a backup I made 5 days ago on iTunes

You lucked out hard. Good on you for having a recent backup!

It's ToB 2.0 in the sense of finding teams. It's really just a cycle.

  1. Raid with only people who have n kill count
  2. Nobody takes learners
  3. Learners can't learn how to do the raid
  4. Experienced raiders only raiding with other experienced raiders

Now you have nobody new learning how to do the raid properly meanwhile the experienced players keep racking up experience and raising the bar and reducing their patience.

It doesn't help that there are 500K death fees for wipes meanwhile CoX and ToB are subsidized. Furthermore, there are multiple raid paths which means that raids and the player-base will be even more split now based on what they can and can't do.

Hopefully with the practice mode things will get better, but I doubt it seeing as how gatekept the raid is now.

Unironically I could see ChatGPT doing this to raise their stock value

Yes, they sure can hack our infrastructures, but also, it's not like it's autonomously doing so (yet). There's someone running some task instructing the LLM to implement and run attack vectors. Although, the scary notion still stands. Every day we step closer towards anyone being able to do so from home. The only barriers at the moment are lack of compute and censored open models for locally ran models. Your typical online brand names (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) already have railguards against this. Yes, there are jailbreaks to try and get past said-barriers, but that's for another discussion.

infinitay_

On the bright side speed CAs are no longer ruby reset simulators.

infinitay_

Cause it's all he has

Could you add a projectile swapping option to swap the final boss' P1 mage/range attacks? I reckon in the future the general projectile swapping plugin could support it, but feels like having it here would be appropriate. As for the reason why, personally, I can't understand why an attack resembling a red fireball is not mage and why a blueish-purple gust attack is not range.

I am chill... I would just not like to see them nerfing an item for being used as intended. As for the Obligator, I mean come on, you're not gonna QA test your new weapon in your new raid? Yes it's day 1, but they've been working on this for months. Surely we're not skipping QA?

infinitay_

Can't wait for Jagex to patch this to punish people for using item mechanics as intended... Meanwhile Obligator couldn't hit the boss and TBow is BIS the majority of the raid.

infinitay_

I can't fathom what compelled them to make TBow BIS in majority of the rooms when they easily could've made the Shadow more viable. The Shadow is really their unwanted child.

Wake up babe, another Vibe Coded app just dropped

Bold of you to post your girl's RSN on Reddit let alone the OSRS sub-reddit.
