Doctor Who can say whatever he wants, Jim Butcher has said that he'll reveal his time travel mechanics in book 23, no need to copy Doctor Who or anyone when he can do it his own way. Regardless, if you're relying on time-travel to fix Harry Dresden not recognizing himself then that means that Harry in the crystal was imprisoned in Contemplation and stasis by Merlin in book 23, meaning he will not be returning for the BAT as anything but an older man, who should only be maybe four years older than current Harry and very recognizable, also he's in stasis he isn't practicing anything, time isn't moving for him, there's no magic in there for him to wield. He's a prisoner not a guest, we saw that with Thomas, that cell hurts. Also, if Harry Dresden can travel through time, which he's confirmed to do in book 23 "to see people" then he'll be able to travel back to where he's from.
The prisoner isn't Dresden, Dresden isn't British, he doesn't feel the type of pain that character is in, Twelve Months was his lowest and his worst and he got through it, so no it is not Harry Dresden. Also, as I pointed out before, when Harry time-travels in book 23 he will be traveling as the Warden, unless he passes it on before he time-travels, so Demonreach wouldn't be able to lock him away unless Harry Dresden decides to just give up and sit marinating in his suffering. He doesn't do that. He didn't even do that in Twelve Months and in that book he was in the type of depression that grinds you to a halt in all aspects of your life and somehow Harry kept getting up and trying.
Edited.

Oh, yeah, that conversation took place in the Dresden Files Podcast Episode 77 on YouTube, you can watch it yourself or you can just type in Dresden Files Podcast Episode 77 in the subreddit search to pull up the transcript, here's the WoJs dealing with the age of Drakul and the Black Court though.
Dresden Files Podcast Episode 77 WoJs 2020:
Q: "So at least on his more historical timeframe um, I was wondering, there seems to be a slight discrepancy at least on how old the Black Court is because, is that just because Drakul and Dracula I assume they're older than their historical personas?"
Jim Butcher: "Yes, Drakul especially. Drakul has been somebody that popped up in various places in history. I mean history's full of little monsters that aren't really particularly remembered and he's been several of them."
Q: " So kind of like Odin with his Beowulf and all that?"
Jim Butcher: "Yeah exactly. Once you're immortal and you're interacting with mortals and you know they're just a pain unless you deal with them Memento style, you know, by vanishing from their memory. It just makes life simpler for you when you're an immortal. Oh my gosh, the humans and their issues."
Q: " Is his son old enough, how old essentially is the Black Court? Are they the oldest court or are they just..."
Jim Butcher: "Okay the Black Court itself is not too much older than Dracula cause he's the one who really kind of went crazy making more vampires. His father didn't he just wanted a small handpicked crew of people who were awesome and that was his way of making supersoldiers, was Black Court vampires. But Dracula wanted more of that and sort of let it loose into the world and his father was very displeased."
Q: " So it was Drakul who made the Black Court vampires?"
Jim Butcher: "Yeah."
Q: " We were a little confused, we weren't sure if it was Dracula and Drakul was like "that's a neat thing you made there son, I'm taking it"."
Jim Butcher: "Drakul made them, Dracula was the one who made them popular I suppose is the way to think of it. But you've actually seen how Drakul operates, that's just how he's gone through his whole career. Is with this tight group of enforcers and then himself being awesome."
Q: " When we saw that scene in the graveyard and I saw that Mavra was the drummer I was like "who are these other guys if she's drumming?"
Jim Butcher: "The old guard, the ones who are still alive, the ones who lived."

He isn't Nfected, Harry would know by Twelve Months considering everything that happened in Battle Ground, additionally, Lord Raith is a predator, the alpha predator for millenia, he's not letting another being take over his body, he's already got enough Outsider inside him as is, add in more and he'll be nothing but a meat puppet.

Considering the fact that King Arthur isn't lacking his memories in the original lore and Jim has used that as a glimpse of what to expect, Tripp Gregory is a rapist that was pushing Maya into his bed because she owed "back pay in more than one sense", Jim Butcher can write whatever he wants about redeeming that character but I'd still set him on fire. King Arthur isn't going to be forcing women into his bed because he's their pimp, Jim is too respectful of peoples belief and history to do that.

I'd disagree, since the first time they kissed Harry was flooded with lust and only lust that he channeled into the shield spell in the Raith's Deep, and in Twelve Months the same more or less took place since Lara was trying to forcibly overpower his mind, which she later apologized for. Plus, putting aside their kisses they've been touching a lot and the books and Jim Butcher himself has made it clear that a touch is all a wizard would need to identify a practitioner, that's why Arturo's ex kept her hands full whenever Dresden was around in Blood Rites.
introvertkrew
Lara has no magic, so no, she and Harry have kissed, he would sense her magic.

Jim Butcher has stated that the Starborn storyline is the endgame of the series, so no. I mean, that would just be hilarious, the starving Lord Raith being the big bad of the final novel instead of the Outsiders, whose knights the Walkers are more powerful than archangels, and they're trying to destroy the multiverse. Lord Raith really isn't a threat to that degree, or any massive degree anymore, we saw in Twelve Months the fruits of his labor for months, and it wasn't a big deal, he just had to stay aside and watch because Harry would've stepped on him like a bug. Remember all the way back in Blood Rites Harry was filling him with lead to dry up his reserves and it was working, the guy hasn't fed in 40 years, while I'm sure his cunning counts for a lot, he just doesn't have it in him to be an actual threat anymore especially since Lara can destroy him on a whim.

Damn, no idea why you got so downvoted but you're right, Jim Butcher has said that the Russian Caucasian is what he imagines for Mouse, I copied the WoJ into the thread for someone else.

I mean Jim Butcher himself is a massive fan of Glen Cook's Black Company series and he has also spoken highly of his Garrett PI series, which is openly acknowledged by fantasy fans as being a pioneer of this type of Urban Fantasy blending noir and fantasy, with the first book releasing in 1987 and blending hardboiled/noir private-eye tropes directly into a multi-species fantasy city. Garrett is a PI, and a normal human living in the fantasy city of TunFaire, he's a former soldier, like the author, and like Dresden is usually drawn into cases because a very attractive woman comes to him for help. His cases include everything from vampires, elves, trolls, sorcerers, centaurs and has a "Godfather" character as well. There's more humor in Garrett PI though but I enjoyed it. Glen Cook seemed to have retired once he retired from his job at Ford Motors, but he recently returned to both his Black Company series which paved the way for many series and had Jim Butcher exceptionally excited, and next year is the release of book 15 in the Garrett PI series, with the tag: One More Case. One Last Goodbye. I'm intrigued.

Well, no, because this WoJ is from 2010, I included the date when I copied the WoJ, back in 2010 he had no plans to write anything with Mouse as a POV character, it'll take 8yrs I believe, until he releases Zoo Day.

Nobody speculates that the British prisoner is Merlin for long since Jim Butcher stated outright that he is not Merlin, and everyone here will say so, not only that but when he was asked which Warden placed the British Prisoner into Contemplation in Demonreach, which is what Harry ended up putting Thomas is as well, Jim Butcher said that the first Warden put him in there, meaning the original Merlin.
So, we've had Jim saying he's not Merlin and that Merlin is the one who put him in so as I've said a couple times in this comment section, I currently hold the belief that the prisoner is King Arthur. Though, it's possible that someone else is, I just can't think of who else King Arthur might be.

Jim Butcher has said that Mouse looks like a Russian Caucasian to him, that's why he had the scene in the book where somebody said so and Harry replied that it's impossible because Mouse has rhythm or something like that. I could probably find that WoJ, let me see.
2010 Buzzy Multimedia Interview with Jim Butcher:
Q: "Does Mouse look anything like this?"
Interviewer shows Jim a small statue of a Foo Dog.
Jim Butcher: "Yes, this is a statue of a Foo dog, or at least a replica of a statue, Mouse himself is a Temple dog. The way he looks in my head is he looks a lot more like a Russian Caucasian. The Soviets bred them as security dogs, from Tibetan mastiffs, and I think Saint Bernards. Mouse looks quite somewhat like this, if you scale up a Tibetan Mastiff, you get to Mouse Size, and that’s about where he is. He gets to take part in the adventure in this one, and have a lot of fun as well. You’ll get to find out more about Mouse, and exactly where he’s fun, and about the kinds of things he can do and why. But you know, I don’t want to spoil that for anybody, that’s for the future.
There are people that ask me if I could ever write something from Mouse’s point of view, and I say, “I would, but then the reader would know too much.” Mouse is quite a bit smarter I think than Harry in some ways."

Better than a lady living under the water of a random lake, what does she understand about managing a crisis on land. At least Dresden has been through enough crises to tick every experience box on the resume. Fire, ice, invading hordes, invading evil strongholds, dealing with royalty and doing magical sword guardianship, all ticked, even Merlin the original has to give him the nod while keeping him away from burnable buildings.

He is not going to be reborn, he's King Arthur, he was left in magical slumber healing on Avalon, in the original stories, he's called the Once and Future King because he was always supposed to return when Britain needed him most. According to Jim Butcher, King Arthur has already appeared unannounced in the Dresden Files, so no need for rebirth. He didn't die after all. And I think Jim said Britain not England, let me see if I can grab one of the WoJs for you.
DragonCon 2023 WoJ:
Q: "Has King Arthur made an unannounced appearance in Dresden?"
Jim Butcher: "Yes. Dun -dun-dun-duh. In Dresden Files, Arthur will return to Britain in its darkest hour. (Gasps) RIGHT?!?"
introvertkrew
Yes, I'm aware, I did say we met a number of them in Summer Knight, the book with all the Fae, I also said that Changelings are half-Fae days ago while replying to a reply on this comment, you can follow the thread and read it for yourself if you want.

Harry "wasted" a Walker because as he himself said in Ghost Story, He Who Walks Behind was manipulating him, and also because 16yr old Harry Dresden unknowingly used the one and only thing that works against Outsiders on HWWB, Ebenezer explained this in Peace Talks, natural fire works against them, magical fire from anyone except a Starborn is no help but natural fire works, and Harry tossed both a fire spell, with him being one of the few whose will works on them so it could actually hurt the Walker, and he caused the fuel pumps to explode in flames against the Walker releasing a lot of natural fire.

Jim has already stated that Loki is not in Demonreach, he's in Hollywood, Jim has also stated more than once that King Arthur has made an unannounced appearence in the Dresden Files and there's few he could've been. The British prisoner struggled with modern English and he told Dresden to his face that he's tired of new Wardens, the novices, because they always feel the need to speak to him and bugger up his stasis. Additionally, Dresden only decided that he sounded British after he told Harry to piss off, so his accent could've been as archaic as anything, though he's clearly learned modern English.

Lara Raith, according to the author himself, has a relationship with her Hunger similar to Nicodemus and Anduriel, they sync up in their goals and actions. Thomas Raith isn't going to become the King without the entire White Court tearing itself into factions, so that's not happening. Amoracchius is Excalibur, Jim Butcher has already stated that King Arthur will return when England needs him most, which is the way the Arthurian legend goes, so Amoracchius is going to be in his hands because there's no way modern Britain is accepting a random guy saying he's King Arthur if he doesn't at least have a magic sword.
introvertkrew
Oh, man, the alpha sexual predator is an addict for the Starborn magic, how dreadful. Do you even know what misogyny means? It means you have an ingrained hatred or contempt for women or girls, not something that Harry Dresden has ever even remotely displayed.
introvertkrew
Maybe, according to Jim he's a Warden that the Senior Council keep around so they can keep an eye on him. They want his information but they also want to know how he's acquiring it. If he's allowed in there it's probably under supervision.
introvertkrew
Starborns are not seen as Destroyers by the Council, Jim Butcher has been crystal clear on the fact that The Merlin is the man who knows the whole story. Morgan was also clear on the fact that the Council feared that Dresden could be a Destroyer because he was trained by DuMorne. That's all the fear is based on, that DuMorne corrupted him. I mean Ebenezer himself let slip that Arthur Langtry is manipulating Harry and that it's working for the best in Twelve Months.

Chandler's age is canonically young, as Dresden describes him as "young Steed" when they meet when Dresden was going to the the White Council's headquarters in Edinburg. As for Chandler being skilled at time-travel theory, he technically isn't at actual time-traveling, his specialty is just Divination which means that Chandler can see through time when he's divinating. Here's the WoJ on this.
2016 Reddit AMA WoJ:
Q: "What kind of magic does Chandler specialize in?"
Jim Butcher: "Chandler does a lot of Divination, and a lot of stuff that is involved with time. Which puts him in a very finicky spot, a very high profile spot on the Council. It’s one reason why he’s a Warden where they can keep an eye on him. He can actually do things to screw with the flow of time and look back in time and find things out, and occasionally to look forward in time and see things. Although that’s very unreliable because of the whole free will nonsense. He’s an information gatherer for the most part. He’s not as much of a punch you in the face type, but he’s really really useful which is why he has got a lot of status among the young Wardens. He’s got access to what the old wizards think is valuable, which is information."
introvertkrew
He clearly didn't since he's been imprisoned in crystal. Harry Dresden would recognize Harry Dresden, just like he would recognize Langtry. Also, if that's the Warden then he would not have been able to be imprisoned, at least not once present Harry became the Warden.
Harry Dresden isn't the type of person to just sit and say that he deserves this and while away his time in contemplation, there's also no other viable candidate for King Arthur and King Arthur makes perfect sense since he lived anciently, only ever speaking to new Wardens who disturbed him, so him having to try and remember how to say "Piss off" works perfectly. Harry Dresden reads a lot, he'll know exactly how to say piss off, and more importantly he'd just tell off young Harry in American since changing his nationality serves genuinely no purpose.

It's Hells Bells? People have been saying it for centuries. Its first printed appearence was in a newspaper in Britain I believe back in 1840 but people were using it before that, clearly, since the reporter used it without worrying that readers would be more focused on the phrase than whatever they were writing about.
Your impression was Titania was cast aside without a thought by Ethniu? Just after the reread? She showed up, legitimately tore away Ethniu's storm that was powering the Formorians, and had been powering them for the entire book, deflected the Eye of Balor with some hip rolling, then drew down a waterfall of water that dispelled Ethniu's magic and cut the Eye of Balor off making Ethniu gasp. All while standing as tall as Ethniu. Then she, the Erlking, and Ethniu fought and while Ethniu won she was unsteady with wide eyes and burned by the end. Oh, and Odin. Titania, the Erlking, and Odin attacked Ethniu and left her burned and unsteady with wide eyes though she won the fight.
