Medium spinning rod and 2500 size reel. That will get you started for most things. Medium heavy if you’re thinking mats and dense structure. That will def get you started.
Spinnerbait with white / chartreuse. Black popper. Squarebill in red craw color, shad, and bluegill/perch pattern. 3/0 or 4/0 hooks, green pumpkin senko worms, some 1/4 ounce worm sinkers (cone shape).
This rod can also function well for light cat fishing and panfish also. Good all around rod.
Daiwa and Shimano have combos that meet your needs.
Don’t buy stuff Walmart unless you know what you’re looking at.
Hit your local tackle shop that looks legit and ask for some suggestions.
Hope that helps!

Yep it’s all perspective. I have friends who give me a hard time about the cost of my bicycles, yet they have 10k in decoys and a trailer to haul them.
Or my old man who has such a collection of guns over the years yet he gives me crap for my fishing gear; which he benefits from.
As long as you’re paying your bills, your kids aren’t going without, and it’s part of your “me” budget, who cares how you spend it!

Here you go. I do remember they didn’t have great arch support but they drain fast and the sole is soft and nice grip.

Yep, and put it in your safe for play money. Some day a deal will come up and you can negotiate with cash in hand.

Well before that there were usually magazines or the newspaper in there. Or, if you were really desperate you read the shampoo bottle labels!

You need water putty. Like this

Amazon, any home improvement store or hardware store will have it.

I have done this before, even increased my percentage because of it.

Doesn’t like my link from Google maps. Definitely western though.

I had a husky once who wouldn’t come inside when it was cold. Would leave a water bowl outside that wasn’t frozen, sun would be shining but cold enough that snow on the ground. Neighbors called the police once, cop came over and knocked on the door. I explained I had a husky, we walked around to the back of the house so he could check the situation. Dog licked him to death, never had an officer show up again for my dog being outside. You couldn’t beg or treat her into the house on a good winter day.

Notify his boss and also tell him to fuck off or you’ll call the police.

Somehow I’m going to start a fight here and I don’t mean to at all. I’ve spent most of my adult life watching cars at local dealerships and having relationships with those local dealerships somehow, typically a single non-salesy (not a word) guy that’s a salesperson there. I then wait to buy a car I know is a good platform or something I know has been well taken care of and lower mileage. I realize that’s maybe not possible in a larger city. All I’m saying is that cars are a traceable thing sometimes, and maybe you can come across the good opportunity. I’d also suggest that if anyone needs a loan for a car that you aim for known good cars AND spend 6 months tracking the area market or buy from a reputable car dealer. Accords and Camrys go a long way typically, and moms drove them. Doesn’t mean you know the maintenance but those platforms typically are durable. All but our (church/presentable/whatever you’d want to have a reason for a nice card) cars are over 200k in our house. All are daily drivers. All are maintained and cleaned regularly. I forced myself to do some of the work to maintain them. I don’t take them to a shop I don’t have a good feeling about and have spent time speaking to the technicians to know they’ll do the job right.
I live in a smaller community where maybe it’s easier to build a relationship with shops. I may know how to do more because I messed more stuff up!
Nothing I said above lowers the lack of ability to pay for literally ANYTHING when making $7 and hour. I can’t even imagine still living on that. It’s impossible to have any structured life at that hourly rate. I made 25k/yr for a couple of years, we literally scraped by.
The only thing I’m trying to say is, you DON’T need to have a car payment. Especially if you have to go to a shady dealer with all credit accepted. DM me if you want more info I guess. Otherwise I’d have to write a book and come across as Dave Ramsey or something. I love some of his ideas but it’s not realistic either.

Year Compass is awesome! I use it at home and work, with my kids and with my coworkers and team. It’s amazing once you write it all down and start having a plan!

Like /u/Zaphodi said, look for off lease. T540 off Rakuten has been my go to for a while. Look for SSD and 8GB of RAM and you’ll be good to go!
I’ve seen them go for between 300-500 consistently.

😲😂
Is it really safe to take daily? Or is that marketing? It does work, almost too well.
