Who's victim blaming? I pointed out that people are jumping to hate in Arabs lately. Some of the people cheering it on, in this case, are doing so because the perpetrator is Arab.

For some reason people are really happy to be openly racist (see the /r/montreal thread where every top comment was talking about "broccoli heads" recently) - but really quick with the downvotes if I point it out. We apparently want to be racist, just not be called out for it.

There are lots of racist people around lately who are willing to do just about anything to stick it to Arabs.

I think most rational people know this.

But then what do you propose? He obviously wants something from us - what do you think it is & do you propose that we give it to him?

And do you think it stops there?

I'm not so sure they're capable of feeling embarrassment. But maybe everyone else is feeling embarrassed for them.
