I had an ethics professor in college that pronounced jargon like "jar-gone" and it just stayed with me.

That there really aren't any surprises. No kinks, i don't really want to explore anything, and honestly I'm fine with that. But I feel like I should have more surprises

My favorite part was when Ratatouille boy was casually sneaking around military commandos in an open field via a very open fence. He obviously was rolling Nat 20s on his sneak checks lol

Is that also in Pennsylvania?
Like is that in Philly?

Lolol jk this is great!

My biggest issue is that it was dumb but not fun. Plus they didn't show most of the fights! From the editing and pacing, they clearly cut out A LOT of movie. Bummer for sure

But the issue is that my local Alamo is still the best theatrical experience in STL and the closest one to me. (Technically there is an AMC that's closer but it's straight up garbage, like the worst theater I've ever been to).
It fucking sucks BUT STL workers voted to unionize, so I don't mind going now

Yeah, she could still get it. Honestly the haircut is kinda cute. She has the cheekbones to pull it off. I mean, I wouldn't say no (no implication required)

Yeah I think in his more capable hands it would have been much better and I overall thought it was good.
I disagree with most other people: the pacing was not great. It's a 109 mins and it felt about twice that.

I mean, it's THE ODYSSEY.
It has classic and contemporary themes that are especially resonant in 2026 and somehow re-contextualizes the Siege of Troy in such an original and terrifying way.
It's also gorgeously shot (and the aforementioned Siege of Troy is so breathtaking that you forget you're watching a movie) with some of Nolan's best imagery.
It's dark but hopeful and reminds you that humanity can be better even after a dark period of time.
Everyone, cast and crew, brought their A game.
It reinforced that going to the movies was special, an event, and important.
