Sorry, you're the first person to actually explain this to me fully. Just to be sure, there is no real way to automate mod updates on my bare metal, self hosted server? I have to manually download and unpack the mid files into specific locations each time there is an update?

jayb151

Wait... Does that change persist after exiting the game?

jayb151

Yes, I saw that. So the section is basically "infill." But I just don't understand why that section would behave differently than the rest of my infill. Like, it goes from a box to a cylinder. Why is it creating an additional section of infill right there. I'm thinking it's some kind of "top layer" or "Bottom layer" setting, but just can't find how to change that other than adding an additional Shape modifyer. My issue is that I have an entire plate of that same shape, though it's something like 10 different models. So I would either have to combine the models into one stl to be exported, then I can edit a modifier for all the shapes at once, or I have to modify them one by one.

Respectfully, I disagree. The shaft continues up, and really makes that connection a critical fulcrum where any forces get amplified. That said, you couldn't see that. So I really do appreciate you taking the time to respond here. Be well sir!

jayb151

What I'm not understanding is why it still creates the section, even when I add in that extra layer of solid infill. It makes the infill section, but turned at 90 degrees, so I have a 90 degree break in the pattern when it could have just been one continuous piece. Why wouldn't it just be one continuous section?

jayb151

Yes, that seems to be the best solution so far. It does get exactly what I want done...but it just seems strange that there wouldn't be a setting to control that. Like, I don't really understand why i's making that part hollow in the first place. Thanks much for the advice!

So I set the number of perimeters to a crazy number. The hole did in fact go away, but it makes the part completely solid, which I don't want

jayb151

Unfortunately no. I set Top and Bottom "minimum shell thickness" to a high value...it makes the area above and below solid, but that hole still shows up

jayb151

Any other suggestions on how to do things differently? WinApps? Bottles?

jayb151

Unfortunately, I can only use the tools I've been given so switching isn't an option...I appreciate the suggestion though!

As a remote worker who recently moved into a rural community...I concur. I can still get the services I need, but it's very bare bones. And I'm not some rich yuppie either. Something as simple as getting a tree taken down that was too close to my power line. Business owner came, said he'd handle it, we agreed on a fair price, then no one ever came back to do the work.

I sat the players down and told them how sandboxed the chapter was. So, I asked them what they were interested in doing. We ended up doing some tavern fights and betting on games and whatnot. I wouldn't have done it unless they had said something. And while we spent weeks messing around, I introduced hooks for all the villains. What's his name, Zardoz became a close personal friend to the group... Which was epic when he betrayed them.

Does this do anything different from just using Task Scheduler to run the Jellyfin Executable at startup? Not trying to hate, just double checking my own knowledge. I did use your approach and it works! But it didn't quite work for some other self hosted apps, so I went a bit down a rabbit hole. Thanks much!

jayb151

Just dropping a comment to say I've tried lutra at room temp and hot, I get a strong, overripe mushy banana characteristic from it.

jayb151

Be sure to use dawn soap when cleaning the bed. Also check your broom settings. It looks like the brim is separating from the part, so it's not doing any good. Big maybe, raise bed temps too

jayb151

Hey there, Actually I did end up getting it working. I totally forget how I did it, but I think I might have also used Ventoy to do it. Yunohost seemed fine, but I didn't end up sticking with it. I'm hoping in the future to build out a bit of a more impressive server on an actual tower pc using Proxmox.

jayb151

I did in fact assign a static IP to my server and disable DHCP on the router, so I think I'm good. I'm not noticing issues, though I'm about to try jumping on to each device I can, so we'll see. thanks much for your comment!

jayb151

I still appreciate your response! I'm learning more with each comment, so thanks much!

jayb151

Maybe a dumb question...If I turn off DHCP on the router, I would still have to set an assigned IP for the server right? So the server would be the only thing getting an IP from the router?

jayb151

That makes sense, thanks so much for the response! If possible, can you tell me more about why it's best practice to not have services on the same Windows server? I thought is I'm using the server for fileshare and DHCP, and it's only hosted on an old Dell optiplex. I thought it would burn resources to have multiple VMs running at once?

Again, I'm a noob so sorry if this is a silly question. Thanks much!
