This will be my third year attending. It is a mix of things and I think you'll be able to find whatever you want and avoid just as equally those things you don't want.
The talks can be great, there are gems that don't push the Kool aid. I'm a high level IC at a large enterprise. I honestly have had a hard time finding peers to engage with as much as I would like, but when I finally find a peer it is great.

Use the canned dashboard and filter cfversion to the bad file version and the time frame to 1 hour past when they pulled the bad update, it'll get you really close.

This whole thing was a true shame. I clocked two hours in line before I finally left as DIESEL had a whopping 15 minutes left in his set.
As someone who has spent time behind the decks, in the front of house, and having put real money down to bring talent to the city.... It hurts my heart to see such a beautiful scene and music just disrespected so blatantly.
I hope there are real consequences for what was done.

Miami bass with more of an electro twist to it. You'd find similar sounds in both Miami Bass as well as Detroit's version, ghettotech.

Like ArmorBlox -> Cisco. It's funny, I think ArmorBlox and Abnormal came from the same idea and in the funding rounds for ArmorBlox, potential funders just took the idea and ran with it on their own and formed Abnormal. I can't tell if getting bought first was a blessing or not for ArmorBlox.

This mirrors our experience. Large install base, 40k users. We turned down other SEG solutions and rely on it and M365. We've had two misses in the past few months that we would have fully expected it to catch. Stability has massively gone down, similar time frames... but it feels like it's trending upwards again?
I would be super interested in what else you've looked at as a replacement.
jeff_bb
I'm sure it is, but it feels easier to deploy a single reg key than a process to remove/install. It was seamless as part of the native auto upgrade process.
jeff_bb
Pricing is tricky, agree. We skipped modules that provided barely anything, or that we could cover with other processes. For example, knowing a new app was registered in M365? Yeah, I'll write a script versus paying something.
Abuse mailbox handles user communications on self reporting and greymail has been the most effective spam protection we've ever had. Millions of messages a month just never land in user's inbox and they can self service grab from junk if they want, and it learns to not do it again.
Our FP rate is fairly low, after the first month of having a couple that had to go be marked safe, we see maybe one a month, maybe.
I'm so glad you have a positive support experience. We do not. Probably 20 RFEs deep at this point, built some stuff with the API and the docs on it were wrong, the list goes on... The first level gets back quickly, and in the beginning it was learning curve errors on our part, but now that we are more advanced it feels like it dies in engineering.
In the end, we get more value out of it than it costs us. Viable alternatives in the space aren't as developed, but one day will catch up. Cisco bought ArmorBlox, so they will integrate at some point, MS with it's OpenAI investments will have something at some point.

It felt more in line with traditional SEG than the others. The other two had no problems finding BEC and VEC live in our environment after the initial look back and learning period. Luckily, the handful it found didn't result in financial loss because of the additional human layer controls in place, but why put those emails in front of users at all?
jeff_bb
There is a undocumented (or maybe it was unsupported) registry key that will trigger the next self upgrade to swap bitness and I think put the folder to the native location.
I'll have to check the GPO tomorrow to see what it was, It worked well, swapped 10k or so users from 32 to 64.

If this was a few months ago, I'd offer ArmorBlox as a reasonable alternative to Abnormal, but Darktrace is not.
Did some level of PoC with all 3, Fortune 100 40k mail users. Dark Trace is comical, ArmorBlox was heavy engineering, and Abnormal was heavy marketing. Either AB products met the mark.
Nothing else could handle BEC scenarios the way these platforms can. Took us a while to get comfortable, but removed multiple other mail products and we rely on Abnormal primarily. Still have some contract left on a product that can do API mode against M365, in 6 months it's caught a handful of things that slipped Abnormal. EOP and ATP. are in play as well, but they don't catch the juicy stuff like AB does. Was a great feeling to have "pure" MX after a lifetime of routing shenanigans.
jeff_bb
Check out ArmorBlox or Abnormal for BEC scenarios like this. Evaluated both after having this scenario play out a few times. Luckily other process controls prevented a loss... But it was close. We figured the best approach was to just never have them show up in an inbox.
Some other players in the AI/ML space, but these two felt leaps and bounds behind the others. Piloted each for 90 days, ended up with my second choice but would have been happy with either over neither.

Thanks and apologies. I didn't see it in the the dropdown menus.

Do you have reviews of mattresses in the big and tall category? Or filtering for them on the webpage? Or a best of for that category? I'm not seeing anything specific to that and this was the only relevant comment too.
jeff_bb
Interested in what others have to say, as well. For my environment, I built a thing to delete old content from this folder to help keep the drive space free. We've had no reported impact of doing so.
jeff_bb
Thanks again everyone. Just finished installing the replacement unit, works perfect.
jeff_bb
I did, but the card I purchase it with does not extend the warranty. Looks like it previously did, but I lost that perk on purchase after 01/20. Thanks for the suggestion.

Anyone having issues with disabling it just breaking the taskbar? Looks like if DPI >100% and it is turned off by either GPO or by the user, the clock and notification area just pushes off the side of the visible screen.
Turning it on, comes right back. Turning it off works fine, until explorer restart or user logout/login. If explorer starts with it disabled, bad time.

Finally heard back on my case, for 20H2 it was broken at release and UBR <= .508 and appears to be working in >=630. I'm pulling down the Dec ISO now and am hoping for the best. Had to be something going on, they've had 3 20H2' versions released on VLSC in such a short period of time.

I actually have a support incident open on this now. Or at.least.it describes nearly exact as my situation. I narrowed it down to editing root c: acls with icacls removing unrelated perms. Doing it via gui does not trigger it.
jeff_bb
The behavior happens on 17-24,1-16 and 25/26 appear fine. Happens in a pattern as I move across the ports. It's so strange. With only one plugged in, the UI doesn't report anything is plugged in. When I get a chance I'll plug two things in and see how they report.
Re-seller only does 30 day returns, it's at ~60 days. So I'll have to RMA it, is my guess (or use it as a 16 port... or make sure I populate all 17-24 in pairs that never lose link, heh)

This gpo doesn't work for disconnected rdp sessions. It works in all other scenarios. The restart orchestrator hits a point that checks for logged in users and if it finds them, reads this key and acts accordingly. If no one is logged in, including disconnected rdp, it doesn't read the key and moves into auto restart and engaged restart behavior. Have a flow chart, corresponding logs, and confirmation from Microsoft that this is the behavior. They refuse to update the documentation to reflect it or alter the behavior to pre win10 for this key. Our support minutes were refunded, even though it was 'by desgin' since there was no way to know that with the documentation they provide.

Same here. The emotional range 😢
Hey, I was there! I managed to find/form a small pocket of people who didn't care about it being a work conference or who was in attendance. How others are enjoying or not enjoying the show takes nothing away from me. We just danced and sang our hearts out
I appreciate his live mixing, rife with minor mistakes, and not just fully dialing it in for the cash. He appeared enthusiastic for me and that's all I needed to feel good.
I'm in the middle of fuck all nowhere for music, so I do appreciate this once a year opportunity. Chainsmokers the first year, Tiesto the last, and now John Summit. My fear becomes the year that it moves away from this theme and now it is just another conference .
