I'm self employed?

That's an awful lot of free time on your calendar. Let's plan to discuss further on your next quarterly review, mmkay?

For those unfamiliar, handling version in an automated way is well-documented, and free.

We're a moderately large shop, but when we did this, we recovered over 100TB of storage (yes.... seriously).

we want to make sure that control is not lost

Control of what, exactly?

bite us in the ass in the future and cause a cleanup project in a couple of years, as that is what the organizatin previously experienced with Sharepoint.

This concern is based on a learned experience, which is understandable, but it's impacting your users ability to collaborate freely.

Let me ask you a few questions:

  1. Do you take advantage of the automation available to identify and remove unused SharePoint sites so there is no clean-up needed?
  2. Are you aware the same capability exists for MS Teams (M365 groups, actually)?

I work in a large, complex global enterprise, and we have zero constraints around who can create MS Teams. We take advantage of the M365 Group Expiration Policy, and it's fully automated. Team Owners of inactive teams get notice of a coming expiration, and have the ability to renew the group, or let it go. We've had this in place for several years and have had less than 5 requests to restore a Team after deletion, which takes seconds to do.

Life is a lot easier not having to deal with requests, approvals, clean-ups, etc., and our users are empowered to use the tools we pay silly amounts of money for.

Here's what hat GPT had to say...

  • ХУДАН ЯНОБ — John (the Gospel of John) 32:21“Худан Янов” is an older / regional way of writing Иоанн (John).
  • ПОМИР ДУШАНЬЕ — Peace of the soul 23:18
  • РАШТ-ХУДАН — Meeting with God 15:41
  • ПОМИР ЯНОБ — Peace (of) John 33:19

She's real funny, until she has to explain to lawyers exactly how she ended up pregnant 11 months from now.

This should help - https://blog.admindroid.com/free-password-expiration-notification-with-follow-up-emails-in-power-automate/

Consider sending notifications at 30 days, 14, 7, and 3. Many people out on holiday will get hosed if you don't do more than 7, and also consider how to handle people out on leave.

You probably want to look into the Microsoft Graph API.

I spent zero seconds with Chat GPT. Does that help?

Will you stop being a condescending cunt to people when we're all here to have a good time now?

I'm saddened I had to come back to type that out.

So an invite from you to the optimist club is probably not happening?

I'm sorry you're incapable of having a meaningful discussion with someone that has a different perspective without being a twat, but I'll sleep like a baby tonight either way.

I just want to watch your future hubby figure that shit out when the big day comes.

And...we have the best lost Redditors of any other sub. Stoners coming in asking for brownie brittle, nicotine junkies twitching in the corner... this place is a laugh factory.

or can suggest a workaround?

Manually create a reminder as far ahead as you need it straight in the calendar. If your event is a recurring, then do the same with the reminder. You can have the reminders set for 0 minutes and show as Free so your calendar isn't all jacked up.
