Outside of training, the only examples we have of manifestation others notice (outside of filler) are Zangetsu and Nozarashi. In both examples we have monstrous reiryoku but I think the real key is that both were in deep conflict with the wielder

Nozarashi was constantly finding stronger people so their wielder could unlock them; Zangetsu was seeking to protect their wielder in the most hollow-y way possible. For either wielder to truly confront and accept who they were, the spirit NEEDED to stay manifested for a long time

All that to say that if you have the potential for bankai yeah you can probably manifest your spirit for a really long time, but also they likely won’t be happy about it and it’s frankly a negative indicator if they stay manifested

This fascinates me because Pan is my favorite aspect of the Sister Blades (Morrigan requires too much thought for me, I don’t stand still long enough for Artemis), definitely gonna build for this next time

What helped me on all the bosses but especially [REDACTED] is going in a few times and just… not attacking. At all. Until you learn how to do insane DPS Hades is a game about not dying more than it is killing.

If you focus on dodging the attacks, you’ll learn how to do it consistently, then you can start adding in your own attacks during the openings.

Salazzle is great, I love me some Poison-types. I have one in front on a separate doubles team and it basically always gets two-shot tho

Thank you! I assume there’s an easy place to find those ID’s?

This kinda makes me think, could Fakesaw Man be the Chainsaw Man Devil? Like, the Devil created by the fear of Chainsaw Man specifically? I’m sure someone’s posted about this before.

I think the greatest point in favor of this theory is what Ichigo says after their final battle. If achieving Bankai is an indicator of self-acceptance and understanding, then I don’t see how Aizen’s will and self-aggrandizing would ever let him accept his loneliness.

As for the fused forms, I think Aizen may have been wrong. While he theorizes that this is the highest form of a Zanpakuto, I sort of question that if none of the Royal Guard are fused, and given the circumstances surrounding how Ichigo got his. Either way, the Hogyoku also easily could have allowed him to skip a few steps. If he were purely ascending beyond being a soul reaper, he may well be correct; however, if he were breaking down the barriers between hollow and soul reaper and thereby ascending, then with what we know about how arrancar get their swords, fusion may be a byproduct of that.

The Barragan scene issue is tougher, l'd need to reread that. But thematically, I think this theory is great

While you’re right about Insomniac deserving some blame (for the record I mostly really liked it but had some criticisms), just about none of that blame falls on the heads of those getting harassed. Even if it did, I think it’s important to step back and ask if getting a bad game or a bad work of art justifies that level of response. It totally justifies criticism; I’m not sure any level of badness in a piece of media justifies harassment or death threats.

You’re definitely right in the Doylist sense, one of the worst aspects of that show (which, to be clear I love at least once we hit U6 tournament) was the “See? It’s that thing you liked last time! Love it again!”

But I also tend to agree with OP here that coming up with Watsonian explanations for this sort of thing can be fun.

See this sort of this is fascinating to me. I’m not a great player, I definitely put on God Mode after I beat [REDACTED] the first few times, did 32 heat purely for the reward, beat 20 heat on all the weapons for the same reason.

Chiron is probably my favorite aspect of like anything because of how quickly (for me) it just deletes particular enemies when you get the right boons and hammers. Super fun for non-speed/high heat runs. So everything you’re saying is right but just wanted to toss in a different perspective.

Trick question, if I pick Louie he’ll run away but if I don’t he WILL kill me

I rushed it a few times before grabbing any Pikmin, and it didn’t drop until I had some in my party

Only changes I’d make is put the gold loincloth on top of the pants, and maybe just put the gauntlet on one arm, otherwise looks pretty dope

I think giving up alchemy is more the price of forgiveness than the price of life. It’s as close as they get to being freed of Truth’s consequences for their attempt at human transmutation. In the end, there’s nothing actually equivalent to a full human life, not even a philosopher’s stone made up of many human lives, they’re still not equivalent.

To put it another way, even if Ed and Al gave up one of their gates way back when they tried to bring Trish back, she still wouldn’t be back. So it is the right answer, but we’re thinking of the wrong question.

Pros:

-Pretty much every new design is great. Grimmsnarl, Dubwool, Copperajah, Galarian birds, all of ‘em (except a few)

-Eternatus looks legitimately alien

-The opening puts a good focus on your goal and the story. It reminds me of visiting the lake in DPPt

-The weather-based gym leader, great to vary it not just by type

-Leon is legit good

-The Wild Area is a great idea regardless of its implementation

Cons: -Dexit. My favorite thing has always been catching ‘em all and now I can’t

-The starters didn’t do it for me

-Gigantamax is a weaker replacement for Z-Moves and Megas, neither of which return

-Weak story, I’m all for a greater focus on story but it has to be executed well and not all packed into the rushed third act

-Just Battle Tower. Literally since Emerald they could be making Frontiers

I’m a weirdo who wants them to release new games far less frequently though so they can implement all the good features and trim the fat where it is.
