Id have a closer look at that button

Edit: my hint was actually pointing at something that was wrong, I was confused with another puzzle - lol sorry, the other guys gotcha

jrad18

I swear when i can't figure something out, then I look up the solution and it's the first idea I had but I just timed it wrong or something

And also just infrequently in general anyway

jrad18

I guess it depends on what beginner friendly means - for me I couldn't conceive of playing a raw puzzle game like baba is you cause I wanted a full world type game, more so than I was concerned about difficulty or puzzle design (I love that shit now though :p)

The game that pulled me in was outer wilds, then I played blue prince (which was probably too hard and I relied on hints too much), but they felt familiar to me

The witness was a nice middle ground of 3d vs raw puzzles, and it really guides you into learning it's mechanics with fairly simple puzzles at the start of each area, but it is quite difficult the further in you get

Escape simulator was a surprise for me, really captures the escape room feeling, has some solid puzzles and not too difficult - comes with Xbox games pass if you have it (I think...?)

jrad18

Big ups on this point, I didn't move on until I had every flower for every gold zone and had literally nothing left to do (idk if this is really a spoiler but just in case)

It's fun when you get there though!

jrad18

I was also stuck here but I have every flower thing for the stones area now without having gone through there, I'm thinking either you get there from the beams area, or it's later later game content.

Commenting to follow the post though

jrad18

Weird flex

jrad18

Yes, that's exactly correct, good summary

jrad18

I'm not the one who has been repeating the same bad faith arguments to anyone who criticizes their condescending post, you walked in as a cardboard cutout, I'm just pointing it out

jrad18

We get it, youre a right winger for all the nasty reasons, you've watched sky news and you have all the talking points ready to go, and you derive pleasure from cognitive dissonance.

You hate abortions and trans people and foreign people, you want politics to be about dunking on the people you hate, not about making the world a better place.

You're the best thing to happen to women since they got their right to vote, so long as they're white, assigned female at birth and don't mind having shit salaries and being pressured into 1950s style roles that conservative politics so desperately wants them to return to.

I don't need you to say anything more because I know you, you're every idiot in the right wing, you're not capable of original thought, you think all the bigotry of your political views is acceptable because it's a political opinion and when the uppity lefties come at you for your bigotry you smugly turn your nose up and accuse them of suppressing your right to free speech and political freedom.

And being who you are I know your next move is going to be to write a 6 word response that addresses nothing that I've said, but brings up a new sky news talking point,, or makes some general claim with no basis in fact, such as "the left hate women" or "why are the left all so violent?" - because you're not here to have a conversation, you're here to aggrivate people, it's a strategy that has been formed in the last decade by marketing companies being paid extraordinary dollars by the big red pedophile and co. To rile up their base and fuck off their opponents.

But you know, keep doing what you're doing gurl, help them womens, save them with a government that actively hates them

jrad18

Women are our equal partners in society

Why do you feel that needs to be said? Do you think that's not a given? You're acting like Pauline is some hero of women. Shes wants to deport thousands of women for the crime of being foreign, is that the type of support of women's rights you're talking about?

I have to believe you're just being disingenuous because if you're being for real, and you're representative of any of our population, I'm just sad for our country

jrad18

What if who what? What if one nation gave a shit about Muslim women? Then they'd be a different party with different views and policies. This is the racism party, and any policies they have are informed by racism. The majority of people who are going to vote for them are voting for them DESPITE knowing this - because they believe that stopping immigration will fix the economy. It MIGHT have some positive effect, but it will be quickly undone by everything else the lunatics are going to do

And idk what you're talking about with abortion but it's a good thing that saves lives, the only thing that says it's not is religion which has no place in politics (or reality). Having frequent abortions is bad for your health, but being pregnant and having a baby you don't want is worse.

jrad18

That's a dog whistle for them, I truly don't believe they give a shit about Muslim women being mutilated, it's something they can say instead of saying "I'm racist and want to kick out the non-whites"

jrad18

you basically have to put the explosion back into it

This is the next boss after the toothpaste tube

jrad18

Don't make me use the sit down gun

jrad18

Some girls mothers are louder than other girls mothers

jrad18

They weren't implying anything or voicing an opinion, they did state something pretty plainly though and you decided to position yourself against them as an individual rather than engaging with what they said. There has been a group of people brigading every post on this sub in a boring, lazy and predictable way. I don't care which side of politics you're on, that's irritating

I'll refer you to the final two paragraphs of my previous comment, a sophisticate like yourself should hold themselves to a higher standard, thanks

jrad18

"I wonder if these people will show up?"

"You're obviously lying and a bad person"

This is how you sound just fyi, the original comment didn't voice an opinion, they didn't state anything that could have been a lie, they didn't even say whether they were a lefty or not

And before you respond angerily to me, I also haven't voiced an opinion or said what side I'm on

Id super recommend chilling the fuck out, and if you want to chat politics or whatever maybe try using empathy or forming an actual argument instead of acting like your perspective is obvious and everyone is dumb

And if you're just here to rage, you can get fucked, but a complex gentleman such as yourself wouldn't do that right?

jrad18

This is one of those great puzzles where I had like 5 aha moments followed by "oh that's why not". I didn't feel lost at any point, I just walked the path as I expect the puzzle design intended

jrad18

It's a good thing no? Getting attention by being controversial is kind of lame, we don't want to encourage impressionable young men to make mysoginistic jokes

This isn't to say you can't make jokes about women or gender dynamics, it's about framing. Shane's joke was the word "whores" - ha women have sex for pleasure - that's not a joke, and it's a normal appropriate thing that shouldn't be mocked and has taken time to normalise

If you want an example of a comedian that tells jokes on controversial topics but nails the framing, check out gianmarco soresi, he did a joke on pedophilia that does the rounds and is the perfect example of what I'm deacribing

Edit: who downvoted me, I don't care but use your words, what do you disagree with

jrad18

He had a flat career, just a solid continuous line of peak

jrad18

Whilst it might be a bug, to a player it's still a puzzle solved and required brain thinking (this is how I solved it please don't take it away from me)

jrad18

What I'm describing is a leash on government control not another axis for it - yes it requires a body to add a layer of control but this isn't about controlling discourse from individuals, it's about controlling official communication from government sources and marketing agencies. Obviously social media is the nastiest source of prop - but it wouldn't be like "arrest the person that made this comment", it'd be more like "this subreddit / Facebook group has a bot farm/paid actors commenting on it, let's find out who's paying for it"

I don't think paying bot farms or paying for manipulative deceitful advertising are defensible in any way, and I don't think there's a version of that that can target ordinary citizens in the form of governmental over-reach

Edit: I just want to add, knowing how governments work, unless a party like the greens had full power (and even then they'd probably screw it up) a real version of this would probably be watered down to the point of uselessness - and if one nation did it, it would just be a Gestapo. So I empathize with the mistrust, but a big part of what I'm saying is that there are facts, ideas and solutions; and then there are implementations, parties and bias, and we should keep the two buckets separate

jrad18

The balance in the reports suggests that there is no bias, it's just such an inflammatory topic that anything short of outright negative reporting about one side is taken as bias by the other side

You can't be biased in two directions, you can be wrong twice but that's not bias - bias is about favouring one side of an issue over another

jrad18

Hey, good question!

An auditable independent body with no political affiliations. It's pretty easy to identify propaganda, especially at the moment because nobody feels the need to hide it, because they're not being held accountable for it.

Ask yourself "who benefits". Is it written in a way to get you riled up, is it creating a narrative that it's our side or their side with no room for compromise. Is it true? If there is data, is it drawing conclusions that it can't possibly justify.

I feel like you're trying to say "there's nobody I could trust to be unbiased when reviewing this", but you're wrong it's pretty easy to come at this from a factual pov. More than that, if political parties had to jump through hoops to be allowed to share any marketing, the conversation would be discussing what is true and what isn't - who's manipulating who - instead of being saturated with lies and emotional manipulation.

I dream of a world where there is no political advertising, nobody hounds you at the polls with how to vote cards, citizens are armed with raw facts and criticize others who try to deceive them

Thank

jrad18

So people shouldn't be free to fund whatever they want so long as it's illegal, we're talking about creating anti propaganda laws so what's your point?
