This is why if a cop aims at you, you aim at them, with intent to kill.
k2trf
There are two that get made!
(expensive) ones with a battery (or batteries) that will power the camera when the car is off
and voltmeters/timers, that let the dashcam run off the car battery while driving, and then keep doing so while off until either the voltage gets to a certain point or the timer is reached (so the dashcam isn't allowed to just kill the car's battery.
If doing the later, a new battery one ish years sooner than normal is the tradeoff (because of the extra load/cycling the battery is doing).

You (and /u/FilthyPrawns, /u/Wakenbake99, /u/Purpledoors3, and /u/Temporary-Screen8517) would (all) enjoy knowing /r/SickSadWorld exists.

Boss made a dollar
I made a dime,
That was a poem
From a simpler time.
Now boss makes a thousand
And gives us a cent
While he's got employees
Who can't pay the rent.
So when boss makes a million
And the workers make jack
Then that's when we riot
And take our lives back.
k2trf
Highly likely! Though the merit of if it would apply isn't something I'm qualified to discuss; I'm not a lawyer; all I know that could be helpful here is that there's precedence under this law, albeit a federal one. Precedence usually means a quick resolution with the aid of a local attorney, especially given the action itself isn't something that anyone will ever be sure is reversed; backups may exist.
k2trf
Dammit, you're supposed to let us speculate and come to the conclusion that you're somehow in two places at once, and able to communicate with your other self via telepathy!
On the other hand, I'm both amused and depressed that I was right about it being a big, no choice American ISP with support quite a ways from any service area...
I see no possibility that Comcast will have improved in regards to Customer Support or Service Performance in the last decade. :(
k2trf
Definitely not; I had it switched off, and received no emails (although I did know about it from here).
Hilariously, before I got to turn it back off (fuck you /u/ProjectFiCM, they should have turned it back off if we had it off to begin with), I got a misdial from China. Would have been charging that back had I not been at work and picked it up without looking.
EDIT: Before those among this land that I have RES-tagged as 'Cancerous' chime in, yes, I had "Promotions" subscribed. Despite the fact that not one bit of this should have ever been categorized as 'promotional'.

Sure, happy to help. I usually just run my tools CLI on linux. In this case, it'd be a simple whois network-tools.com which produces the following:

Most of it can be ignored, and in this case it looks like they're purchasing a privacy filter from godaddy, so godaddy uses their abuse email/phone instead of directly listing the customers. But we also now know they also purchase from cloudflare, which would have come up first if we just tried to trace the IP they're using.
Even when it spits out the registrar abuse email/phone as the hosters, you should still always feel free to reach out to them -- this is a service that this company pays for, to have such complaints go to their provider instead of themselves directly (just redirects like a mail filter you may have used already).
If you're on a system that doesn't nicely integrate networking tools, I like to use https://network-tools.com/ especially on my phone. Whois is the default tool selected, so you just type or paste the domain/IP in you wanna lookup and push go. You should get a similar output, as the registration is just copied from the provider in the lookup.
k2trf
Oh Marv, I missed you so. <3
k2trf
Nailed it. Even reads like Brooklyn.
k2trf
Oh dear, that's not good!
Did you mean that you don't know how to let it go, or that you don't want to let it go?
I'm terribly sorry you've run out of recourse, and are resorting to making shit up.
k2trf
Sigh. This is what happens, kids. Please stay in school. Don't end up like this fool.
k2trf
You're incredibly hilarious. You've kept me entertained for so long now, maybe I should give you something to cheer you up. Maybe you'd stop being such a grouch with an attitude? Nah, that's probably too much to hope for.
k2trf
Nah, I doubt it'll be long before it catches up with you, given this is typical for you.
Did you drop the plate? Was it intentional? There you go.
Linguistics is amazing, isn't it? You can say anything and still be right, so long as you have actual evidence for your claims. You know, like a dictionary. Or a thesaurus. Hilariously, you still just maintain yourself as right, with nothing to support that.
But keep calling people fucking morons -- I'm sure eventually you'll talk down to the wrong person, and it'll cost you. Hopefully, instead of an admin stripping your ranks, it'll be somebody bigger than you in meatspace, and you'll just end up with a bad taste in your mouth.
k2trf
Sure, this should prove just as amusing.
/u/Sir__Hippo held all his pride on a plate. He let go of it, and it shattered on the ground, taking all his hopes and dreams with it.
His parents were quite disappointed, and despite him swearing it was an accident, they told him they'd never love him again.
If you'd like a more serious example, I've linked the Merriam-Webster definitions for both let go and negligence prior. Such examples are found on those pages, as Merriam-Webster is the de-facto standard for the English language.
EDIT: Also, for your continued lessons in reading comprehension, we should add a grammar segment -- you meant to say you're a moron.
k2trf
Again, no.
"Let go" can imply an unintentional act of letting go just as easily as an intentional one.
You can keep replying despite claiming you were done -- it doesn't make your argument any less stupid or any more brilliant. It only demonstrates your continued lack of reading comprehension.
I've already told you why -- you are an interesting distraction from a particularly tedious task I'm doing this evening if nothing more.
k2trf
Pretty sure negligence is considered unintentional. If you accidentally hit somebody with your car, do they not call that "negligence while operating a motor vehicle?"
Glad to know you're still trying to attack me personally since you've noticed I'm just repeating myself while you try to save face. If only the admins saw this and saw fit to kick you out of all your mod positions... that would be /r/InstantKarma.
EDIT: Or, if you like, I could quote the definition for negligence:
1 a : the quality or state of being negligent
b : failure to exercise the care that a reasonably prudent person would exercise in like circumstances
… his naivete and negligence had been the source of his problems. —Michael Leahy
2 : an act or instance of being negligent regretted his past negligences
k2trf
I'm so sorry to have offended you. Unfortunately, that still doesn't make you right. Thought you were done trying to bash your head into a wall?
By the way, if you want a definition, why not actually provide a source, rather than just calling out bullshit?
— let go
1 : to relax or release one's hold —used with of
let go of stress —Kathy McCoy
let go of my arm
2 : to abandon self-restraint : let fly
spoke in clipped sentences, as if fearful of letting go —David Kline
there just to party, just to let go —Philippe Vergne
3 : to dismiss from employment the firm let him go at the end of the month
4 : to fail to take care of : neglect
let himself go and got real fat —Bill Parcells
Do you see in there where intention can be implied or not? Negligent or not? The phrase allows for ambiguity.
You're the only one trying to move a goal post. I'll happily just keep repeating myself. You're an interesting distraction from a tedious task I'm doing, if nothing more. Although it is funny how when your logic breaks down, you try to attack people personally. You even seem to abuse your mod status when it suits you, and it looks like you've had some disagreements there -- I thought only the admins could get 0 karma posts when talking with that kind of attitude and ignorance.
