I think they should have a rotating third chair for a while, let's have a prime guest each week.
kasual7
I mean sitting through 4-5 hours to do a show in a day can be draining, they even take a break in between recording too. You combine this plus guest appearances on other LSM shows and Snarktank it easily add up.

Isn't it a bit ironic that a year ago the DD show's future was in question cause Xbox as a platform was in shamble and now for different reasons SS is the one show going through it.
I blame Asha Sharma!
kasual7
Punching Up should be bi-weekly honestly or even once a month.
kasual7
Here's I think Chris best use case: as a guest. I think the routine is killing him and he's lost interest. He'd be perfect as a guest or on stream here and there.
kasual7
In this case then I think Colin shouldn't identify SS a PlayStation podcast anymore then.
kasual7
Colin didn't confirm it but him hinting that SS will enter a "new era" is leading to Chris be out of the picture. I'm suspecting Chris needs a break but remain to be seen.
kasual7
One of the most annoying thing with modern game development, the need to model every characters to the mocap actors. Whatever happened to have original and unique looking characters?
kasual7
Something they should've done from the get go, remind me again why Bluepoint closed for?
kasual7
He repeats every point he has to make 5 times in different ways.
When you watch all LSM content in a week and see Colin on half of them, yeah you end listening to his opinions on regular topics over and over again. It's very common on SS+ with different guests.
kasual7
This has been my main criticism of SS since the beginning, Colin is passionate and like to talk (shocker) however it ends up being him going on long winded monologue and when it's time for Dustin and Chris to talk they either swiftly agree or barely comment.
Take DD, there's such a well rounded back and forth between Matty and Cog, sure Matty talks more cause he hosts but Cog doesn't bother to always interrupt and say his piece.
When you have Jaffe or Gene the conversation flows so much better and there's a better dynamic.
The thing is I don't even think Colin does it on puprose, he's self aware enough to always apologise whenever he tries to interject, I think he just got a lot to say.
kasual7
I wonder if it was financially motivated? Could it be they sold a lot more of the last games and Barry wanted all the money?
kasual7
Does he even go on vacations? Dustin been gone many times and it did him good.
kasual7
Didn't one of the ND dev tease an Uncharted inspired picture on their Instagram earlier this year? That's when the rumor picked up
kasual7
Is Halo Studios closed though? I’m confused cause according to the news they’re basically don’t have Halo anymore and it all goes to Activision.
kasual7
I guess BO7 did better then.
kasual7
Funny how MW22 sucked but somehow broke sales records.
kasual7
Then this sub should stop half assing it and stop using tweets as source ever. This whole shit is hypocritical.
kasual7
I don’t get it, if most of the rumors and leaks are sourced on X then let’s stop being political and post the original source. Otherwise just don’t quote anything from X then.
kasual7
Maybe we should, people didn’t persecute Konami for these practices but because they fired Kojima and removed his credits from MGSV. Now the dude got let go twice and for 3 months was looking for a publisher and only Microsoft was interested. Let’s stop worshipping that’s dude like he’s capable of no wrong.
kasual7
I think people will start to understand Konami wasn’t that “evil overlord” as it was made out to be. Kojima is apparently known to go over budget and I’m not surprised given his very luxurious taste for having Hollywood cast.
Also we have no idea if Physint will be profitable. Sony is turning a new leaf after Concorde and can’t blame them for not blindly trusting Kojimbo like they did when he left Konami.
kasual7
Sometime you have these games or movies that are just lightning in a bottle and strangely enough not even the same directors/game studio can re-produce the greatness of their past work.
The funny thing is IW actually did do that with COD4/MW2 then MW19/MW22.
I'm hoping somehow, somedays IW break away from COD and make their own shooter, you can clearly see they really want to experiment beyond the COD formula.
kasual7
As it were
kasual7
What was Colin right about on this? A bit of context?
I think it comes down where it could've been mentally draining rather than physically. I could be working 50hrs a week in a job I'm invested in but ask me to go through something I have no interest in for even 4hrs and it'll feel like eternity.
