You also wouldn't hand-code one in rust.

Uhh...

keremimo

Don't blame me for your irresponsible buying habits :P

keremimo

I wouldn’t write a backend in C in this decade

keremimo

It does not have much to do since it is very simple in design. Only one midi drift I noticed, which I’ll push a fix later

keremimo

Melodee is a very tight fit, have not attempted yet.

keremimo

Rocking the Zoom H5 studio for exactly this and never looked back

keremimo

I guess I have to add ableton-compatible drum notes. That would work. Expect this in the final 1.6 release :)

keremimo

Fair lol

keremimo

does it have pad banks? Switch to further ones and try

keremimo

Your pad is probably fine. It is just that a MIDI track isn't the thing you want. (You said track 5, track 5 through 8 are MIDI OUT). Point your pad to MIDI channels 1-4 for tracks 1-4.

keremimo

We have an MPL base template right now so we ask for relicencing from the code author if it is really good proven working code that is essential. We do this so that we can mix BT and WiFi binaries in (Or any binaries really). For Melodee, I just grab the code and do the attribution if I know it isn't gonna hit base.

keremimo

Depends. You cannot mix closed source binaries with gpl code, which requires all of the source GPL code is included in to be open.

Reeally bad fit with BT and WiFi binaries.

keremimo

Are you on a mac?

keremimo

How are you going to figure out the lack of space? It only has 1mbyte flash. Most firmwares utilize almost all of the space, leaving only crumbs.

keremimo

If you did that and you want to hop firmwares, you shouldn't have to go back to stock :)

keremimo

Sounds like they aren't recognizing Melodee. I'll look into this.

keremimo

The TRS input can only go from midi pad into the FM-1. The MIDI track is for sending MIDI notes from FM-1 into other synths (Or other FM-1s)

keremimo

Hi, how are you trying to go back to stock firmware?

keremimo

Were there firmware updates 45 years ago?

keremimo

Do not save your projects if you do so, take a backup. You won't be able to go back without a backup, your projects won't load

keremimo

Weird, just tested this with Koala on iOS. It both receives the audio and MIDI.

keremimo

Yes, hardware limitation. No way around it outside of soldering in a hardware mod, which is beyond the scope of what I'm doing.

If you DO make a hardware mod though, this will simply work. (Except, you cannot really use a DAC through USB port, USB port is MIDI-only)

keremimo

Try again, publishing had a hiccup apparently. Tested it myself, works. Sorry I was outside when the reports came :D

keremimo

Must have not published it or something.. I'll check.

keremimo

You can install 1.5.1 for a fix
