In my opinion, yes, you are insane for thinking that a single-day ban is an acceptable punishment. When people have an anxiety attack, you don't have other people from your own family film it, edit it, and post it for views, unless that was your intention all along. If I had ever tried to film my mom having a panic attack, you better believe I would have been yelled at very early; these adults kids cosplaying as adults have very obviously not faced many consequences in life.

This could have been some other family's once-in-a-lifetime trip, and with the ride being shut down for hours, there's a good chance they wouldn't be able to experience the ride because of someone else's selfishness. The fact that the whole party wasn't banned immediately was a huge mistake, and I hope that Disney views the videos and with the added context, bans them indefinitely.

That just states that changing it twice a year is worse, not that ST is inherently better. It also cautions that these are specifically model-based estimates. I do appreciate you putting an actual cited source though!
