Get rid of the car payments!

Have you tried babywearing one on your back and have them nap there while you’re out and about with the other? It helped with my kids that are close in age! We have a toddler Tula!

You are not your career. I stepped out of my career too, I get to take the kids to preschool, go back to the gym, keep up with the house (actually decorate!), not have one weekend day that just catching up, and actually ENJOY my life. I get to work on my hobbies and turn one into a side hustle! I made space at my old job for a new up and coming person to have my position and grow. My husband is an equal partner and takes sick days when im sick, can run the whole household if I wanted to take a weekend trip with the girls, and its hot that he takes care of us financially and I take care of him and the house and kids.

I felt like I was leaving myself when I left my career but I just closed the chapter for a new chapter of me.

Dad doesn’t give mom a “break” because it’s not solely mom’s job to take care of the house and children. If you think she isn’t contributing because she doesn’t work outside of the home, outsource all of the things she does, including paying a driver, childcare, personal assistant, chef, etc.

I agree with all besides you not getting sick days. My sick days are his sick days. If I’m sick I’m home in bed and he takes the sick day from work and does everything.

kimmaaaa

So he doesn’t do anything with the kids? Works and goes to the gym and goes out?

kimmaaaa

Because some of us did and we hated it?

You’re thinking of the health of your family on if you would be unhappy but have you thought of the physical health as well? With possibly 2 kids in daycare in the future you’re going to be sick all the time with daycare crud, not sleeping as well on a regular basis because of work schedules, and when you’re home you can cook better meals. Just something to consider. When my kids were in daycare it was a revolving door of illnesses.

Are you looking for feedback regarding the style/fit or craftsmanship?

I spent time at PHRU at Advent and had talks with the NICU specialists and I would choose them in a heartbeat over WP. Thankfully PHRU and the high-risk team got me to 37 weeks so we didn’t have to stay but after looking into both facilities I felt much more respected, listened to, and comfortable at AdventHealth Orlando.

None. Mine drives 45 minutes home, puts his things away, changes into comfy clothes and jumps right in. We have 2 toddlers.

I have cut mine down significantly by doing 90% shopping Trader Joe’s and 10% Costco. We get (everything organic) pouches, honest juice boxes, and a few basics at Costco ($150 budget a month) and Trader Joe’s for everything else. ($150 week). This is for 2 toddlers and 2 adults, my husband also works manual labor and eats a lot.

I think a Rambler and the Mummy DVD set is really thoughtful!!

I’m sending my husband on a trip later this year with his brother, I put the deposit down with some side hustle money, he doesn’t know and he’s probably going to be annoyed that I spent money on him instead of the Dave Ramsay snowball we’ve got going on, but I’ll deal with him being annoyed now if he’ll have fun later!

Does your baby play or sit independently? It makes it a lot easier to clean up when they’re playing and you can keep an eye/ear out, then nap time is you time!

kimmaaaa

I do all the time! Sometimes it takes that long to get from one side of town to the other.

I also take my kids to Disney solo

kimmaaaa

The library has lots of free activities for everyone!

kimmaaaa

Check the website outside of the waitlist. Don’t ask for the email or notification. That’s how we got ours last week!

kimmaaaa

I but from BST groups, but I also use it so much I justify the expense like a car seat or stroller.

kimmaaaa

Yes. If I can’t get a hold of him I can see if he’s at the office/grocery store/etc

I also share locations with multiple of my friends and family.

kimmaaaa

Girl you gotta get driving. How about you get enrolled in a driving school on the weekends for a few sessions? Your husband can sacrifice his downtime.

Once you get that done, the public library is a lifesaver. You can also look for preschools that do 2 a week classes for 2 and 3 year olds for when kiddo is big enough.

kimmaaaa

The building rent.

kimmaaaa

Let them play outside in the cold! Get some electric hand warmers for yourself and let kiddo warm up with them, put them in a coat and go outside. The air and vitamin D is good for you both!

kimmaaaa

On the other side of the coin, I don’t think medication is the fix all band-aid, and I get that it helps some people but systems help, too. My husband does the same thing and we turn it into teamwork, getting up at the same time. You also need a dopamine hit and sunlight first thing in the morning for that dose of vitamin D. If you like coffee, I make a fancy latte in the morning and sit outside in the sunrise so my rhythm is set for the day.

kimmaaaa

Ew. He makes more money so he doesn’t need to do chores? What an absolute loser. No wonder you’re drowning. Marriage therapy, pronto.
