Kellen Moore, who has never coached at the college level and who has been an NFL OC or HC for 7 years is suddenly going to take a gigantic step back from a prestige level to make ~what he was making as an OC in 2024, work significantly more hours and deal with 18 year olds?

Austin College's Apple Stadium did not have lights from 1999 to 2023.

knockoutking

GP is one of a kind, that's for sure.

knockoutking

in the end, i rolled with it over the Fellow Aiden.

it depends what your goal is, if it's ease of use - yeah, this is it. buy pods, scan card, drink coffee.

if i want to dial it in, i can tweak whatever and have it ready to go.

it's a damn good option and the rental program is a nice way to try before you buy...

knockoutking

the xBloom is so not non-nerd friendly

HARD disagree, assuming you buy the xPods it's literally the easiest option out there when it comes to that style of automatic tool

knockoutking

He’s gone unless we beat Tech in Lubbock, but I doubt he makes it that far.

can't chance it...idk if its ever worked where a team held on to a coach, he saved his job then had more successful years down the road

knockoutking

I expect he gets fired sometime this season

oh wow. was curious if TCU usually fires after the season or not...GP quit in season, Fran left, Sullivan resigned, Wacker had the whole NCAA thing, Dry was fired in 81.

WILD that you guys basically haven't truly fired a coach in 45 years

knockoutking

yeah, that's not the case.

The pure percentage of evening kickoffs in Death Valley in Baton Rouge can't be ignored compared to the rest of the league. Already one of the most challenging places to play in all of college football, LSU has seen an eye-popping 83 percent of games kick off at night in the past five seasons.

knockoutking

bringing this back after a while, but has Diego popped up with anyone else / somewhere new?

knockoutking

what are you talking about?

Dak roasts something like 8800 lb of green per week or 450,000+ lb / year or something like 832,000 250g bags / year.

at scale stuff happens, this is a prime example. reach out to reseller or Dak directly and they will absolutely make it right.

knockoutking

mistake

and CLEARLY a mistake. not like they shorted him by 5g. shit happens at scale, this is a prime example

knockoutking

If he can understand now, he could’ve understood back then.

just to expand on this "back then" was in 2022, when he was 50. couldn't agree with you more.

knockoutking

...Now that's a name I've not heard in a long time.

knockoutking

looks like Sr was was ~16 when Jr was born?

knockoutking

seconding third wave decaf. it's a legit great resource.

In the the newer NIL landscape, bluebloods don't mean as much anymore.

people keep saying that, but half the reason the blue bloods are now, and will continue to be relevant is the ability to fundraise for NIL.

the historical blue bloods Ohio State, Alabama, OU, ND, Michigan, Texas and USC will be relevant because the money is absolutely there, meaning the ceiling stays super high year in and year out. does it mean its there every single year? or that it's the same for say Bama/OU as it is for Texas/ND - nope. but saying blue bloods don't mean as much anymore in the current NIL is incorrect. you can take or leave Nebraska but there is clearly a gap between Nebraska and the others. the next 2-3 teams after the Nebraska gap is UGA, Penn St, LSU.

if you look at THE CHART - and thanks /u/udubdavid for it - even since the NIL era started in like 2021, whose the top of the list for poll leaders?

Georgia (new), Ohio State, Bama, Oregon (new), Notre Dame, Ole Miss (new), Michigan, Texas. OU is like #11. USC is like #17. LSU and Penn State are ranked there right ahead of SC.

I get what you, and a lot of others, are saying about blue bloods not being as important anymore...but saying it doesn't mean it's true.

knockoutking

It’s possible Texas comes open

quite frankly, there is zero chance that Texas comes open, excluding a Sark off the field crash out.

Del Conte isn't going to go fundraise the $$ that is needed to replace the entire staff based on Texas going something like 8-4 or 7-5. after two years of it? maybe. but if Texas opens up in the next 6 months it's due to off the field issues.

knockoutking

FSU? I don't see it.

fans keep wishcasting the guy to FSU when has has zero ties to FSU or even the state of Florida. it's wild.

knockoutking

And probably not just at the college level.

will be really interesting to see if we see folks with his background (the dude is 49 and has been a GA/coach for 26 of his years on this planet!) that's all CFB based start making the jump to the NFL. the money and professionalism have to be appealing at some point...

knockoutking

imagine getting exited about your team hiring HIM.

then again imaging being an OC/head coach for 8 years and not being a full time playcalling coach once.

knockoutking

the man is 49, let's not act like he is 79 and on his last job

knockoutking

...now i need to know before clicking submit on this order lol

knockoutking

only rec is to change the text box on OL players, it seems like they aren't playing at all unless they have a tackle lol

knockoutking

oh no, Parker Livingstone out there averaging 1 catch for 8.5 yards per game. couldn't happen to a better guy.

on the other side, really happy to see Baxter doing awesome at Kentucky.
