She threatened taking a few steps,

• Doing a chargeback

• Filing a complaint with the federal motor carrier safety division, who regulates moving companies (good luck under this admin but it's worth a try)

• Filing consumer complaints to the state attorneys general of her originating state, and destination.

She did not end up doing a chargeback, I assume because in her case her mover ended up meeting their moving deadline from the contract, but did file those complaints and provided the complaint numbers to the moving company.
