Senior Engineer is "overcomplicating" React code. Is this normal?

Fixed the title for you. The quotes were in the wrong place.

  • Normalising or trimming and reshaping the blob of data you get from the BE into a minimal and consistent shape for the FE is a damn good practise. I imaging right now you are doing similar manipulations of the raw BE data again and again across multiple components. Now you can stop that, and have your component code refocus on the presentation. As it should be.
  • Consolidation request logic usage into a client is another great idea. Now you can add error handling and logging and monitoring code in one place.

TL;DR try to hire on the senior dev full time.

This is just embarrassing for all Ontarians.

Thank you! Thank you! This is very helpful!

update: I reserved equipment from Dual Audio. :)

He doesn't just confine himself to the TTC unfortunately. He was at the park on Yorkville Ave. for few days earlier this week, verbally harassing women who passed by. I wish something could be done about him. I guess at least on the street you can walk past him.

There should not be ads on amber alert video clips for abducted children.

Small easter egg if you click on "garage" in the first paragraph.

Potentially not as common for girls to be sent to school and educated as boys.

Water can come in on either side. You'll get a mixture.

You'll never get an SN2 on a tertiary carbon.

Um, if you can't manage this, it's not looking good that you're a good fit for the job, mate, sorry.

"You can win if you don't enter" - a friend of mine who wins a lot of contests :)

I've found codeschool courses v. helpful in the past for learning up the basics. ..Good luck to all other applicants!

lem0

Yes, it would have been v. interesting to have seen a list of popular "chemical-free" products. A data-vis of how the claim affected product sales would also be interesting..

Hey, I think there's already something like this: jmcunningham / AngularJS-Learning. Is your goal to organize the information differently?

lem0

If anything highlights the need for more women devs, this is it. (Although it's more likely to deter them.)

HF/6-31G* ... I'll give semi-empirical a try. Thank-you for the response.

Edit: It worked! Ethene successfully formed in silico.

Let me tell you, I have a friend setting up a web 2.0 ticket service and it's not easy. Someone has to code the online payment processing; why not give them $1 for their efforts?

I have a similar story: chemistry graduate student with a supervisor who liked to deliver verbal spankings at every group meeting. After a quarter life crisis I mastered out, enrolled in a completely different graduate program, and spent the in-between time doing odd jobs and tutoring. I've found something I really love to do now that still lets me apply my chemistry knowledge and it has much better job prospects.

Leaving with a master's degree was the best decision for me. Maybe it's something you might wish to consider too -- good-luck!

lem0

Thanks for the link. Would this also apply to "creep shots", do you think?

I disagree. Social media 101. By having a Facebook page, which can be liked, Amanda's story can be spread further and reach more people. The more people become aware of bullying, the more it is identified, and, hopefully, checked.

Kenney is rumored to be favoured for eventual CPC leadership.
