Just tell her you can't afford to do that and she would need to find a room mate or a new boyfriend to take over for your half or break the lease and she can move into a cheaper apartment or back home with her parents. Assuming she has something to lose as well that is. If her credit is shot and she's in tons of debt already then she likely won't care if she has an eviction and judgement on her record.

I'm guessing they have to wait around for an hour or more for the dishwasher and laundry to run and finish vs if the renter started both before they left then the owner could walk in and just put everything away since it's finished.

Bonus points if they made no effort to look at the menu to see what they want while waiting in line and then decide to slowly look at their options while pausing to focus on the phone call.
My boss started doing this so I copied him, whenever he had a customer on their phone he would lean over the counter and speak very loudly in the direction of the phone. He wouldn't yell, just talk really loud like if you were trying to talk to someone next to you in a loud environment. He also sang in his church's choir so he had a booming voice. I'd say half of the time the person would hang up and either apologize for being on the phone or would be pissed but would still get off the phone.

Better than the full page ad I got for MW4 the other day that you had to dismiss before you could see the home page.

Sadly it just seems to be North America thing. I went to Japan for two weeks recently and all fast food restaurants had an abundance of workers, food came out fast and it was always fresh. None of the ones I went to had drive thrus to kick you off to the side but they all had an employee keeping people in line and separated from the people waiting for their food to be ready and those waiting to order. Never took more than 2-3 min to get your order.

I don't trust any gas station food unless it's a fresh sub from Wawa. It all just looks questionable and I never see anyone buy it. But I was recently in Japan for two weeks and the locals line up for the food served at convenience stores like Family Mart so I trusted that. I had way too many Fami-chiki's than I care to admit. But no matter what time of day (or late at night) it was always fresh and juicy. Never had one that was dried out that made me think it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours.

Can't believe no one has mentioned Sons of Anarchy yet. I will admit I skip the intro during the season they're in Ireland but once it goes back to the normal intro I don't skip it. I've watched the whole series 4 or 5 times now.

Oh, I know. It's my favorite place to eat whenever I go down to Pigeon Forge. But I was outvoted on waiting for it even though I pointed out that it wasn't a good sign that no one else was eating at Shoney's.

They're both basically running the same hybrid system, so it's a matter of personal taste and budget. People say the new Prius is cramped compared to the previous generation but if you like a compact car due to the area you drive in and if it has tight parking then you may prefer the Prius's small size.

I was in Japan for two weeks and my 5 year old appetite drove me to McDonald's a few times when nothing else appealing was in the area and they all ran like well oiled machines and was always fresh. But that is most likely because the Japanese people have good work ethic.

I went to one while passing through Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge after visiting family in South Carolina (we took a detour through the Smokey Mountains). Every restaurant was packed for dinner, except for Shoneys. We were the only people in there eating which didn't bode well.
Surprisingly we didn't get food poisoning but the food kinda looked like it would give us food poisoning. I wanted to eat at The Old Mill but it had over an hour wait so my brothers insisted on Shoneys since they hadn't seen one in forever.

Wendy's fell off for me way back when they switched to the sea salt fries with the skin on the backside of the fries. I stopped eating there when they made that switch. Once or twice I'd get nuggets there and then go over to McDonald's for fries but that was too much trouble for fast food.

I used to work at one back in 2009ish and while it was all prepackaged items it did taste way better than how it taste now.

I worked at one in the mall and the owner would purposely under order from Subways supplier's and would supplement it from Sam's Club. Technically it introduced a health risk because if there was a recall on any produce from a specific company there would be no way to tell which produce was from Subway or Sam's Club. He would also get 16oz bottles to replace the 20oz bottles that he got from Coke but would still charge the 20oz price. Only one person ever made a comment about it to me so he made a decent profit from all the people who didn't notice or care.

Assuming it's a push button start car and not a traditional turn key, are you keeping the key close to the car in the garage perhaps? I could be wrong but I believe I read that if you keep the key close to the car that they both constantly talk to each other waiting for you to get in the car and start it so a computer in the car is constantly on talking to the key fob which could be draining your battery.
Also if you live somewhere that is hot most of the year like Florida then that shortens the battery life as well. But the dealership is right that 3-5 years is the normal. Then add to the fact that every company seems to be cost cutting while charging more so the batteries aren't as of high quality like they used to be. I always get the warranty on new batteries. My grandmother has a 2013 Elantra and her new battery died after a year, I jumped it for her and took it back to Autozone where I bought the battery for her and they confirmed it was bad and got her a new one for free. Then it died again 2 months later and they confirmed it was bad again and got her another one. (knock on wood) It's been fine for several months now.

Since it has a CVT it should be changed every 30k miles or 3 years (whichever comes first). The dealership will likely tell you that you don't need to do it because they want to sell you a new vehicle in a few years and don't want it lasting 10+ years. But in the service manual that comes with the car it does say to do it every 30k miles/3 years under "severe conditions" and doing lots of city driving and/or sitting in stop and go traffic on the highway during rush hour counts as severe but they don't spell that out in the manual.

To be fair, even with physical HVAC controls you aren't going to get warm air coming out of the vents for at least 3-5 min and that assumes you start driving right away. Now if you had said you needed the physical controls to turn the system off because it's blowing ice cold air in your face because you had the heat blasting the last time you drove then I'd agree with you on the winter thing.
I do prefer physical controls but simply because I don't like having to take my eyes off the road to adjust it.

They never said anything was wrong with the Rav 4, they said they saw people were unhappy with the redesign. Looks are subjective of course but people do have valid complaints about how there is no physical HVAC controls and only a volume knob with everything else on the touch screen.

Congrats! One hell of a find! In my area that's what 2017 Camry's with 90k+ miles go for.

It's semi-common in places old people move to retire at. I'm friends with people who used to own a used car lot that retired recently and they sourced a majority of their cars from Florida and it was pretty common for them to find 8-12 year old vehicles with under 100k miles and every once in a while they would have one with under 50k miles.
A while back when I was in the market for a new vehicle they had a 10 year old Elantra with only 30k miles but it got sold before I got the insurance check from my previous car being totaled. My theory is old people move to somewhere warm to retire and buy a new car as a retirement gift and since they don't work anymore the car barely gets driven and then they either trade it in for a new one in 7-10 years or they get too old to drive (or they die) and it gets sold to a dealer and ends up at auction since back then new car dealers didn't put old cars out on their lot even if it was pristine like this and my friends car lot would scoop them up at auction.

Well if you both wear headsets and get in the same discord chat then you can hear each other through the headset.

No, it had to have been earlier than that. I think I was still in high school so 2011 or earlier?

Actually most, if not all, were fulfilled by Amazon and also sold by them too.

Yup. My landlord charges a convenience fee to pay rent online. So I have a check book just for paying rent and I drop it in the drop box at our building so he has to make a special trip to collect the rent instead of just eating the fee the processing company he uses charges to process online payments.
They fell off when they stopped having an employee walking around passing out breadsticks.
