seeing some of the comments on this post really makes me lose hope for humanity…
Employers have no loyalty to the worker. Your job could literally drop you for whatever reason any day - haven’t you seen all of the layoff news? Friendships do involve loyalty and can last longer than any job could, and friends should have each other’s back. You can’t stop your friend from getting fired but you giving some kind of (if even indirect like mentioned) heads up will let your friend start the search for another one.
