Chapel Hill native here! What did you guys think of the course?

I mean for god’s sake, I have heard more people talking about Korean baseball than the NWSL (no offense to the KBO).

Can someone explain to me why these professionals are still forced to play on turf? With the NWSL being one of the few American Leagues back, I’d assume they would be able to find a grass field for them to use. Is this an issue the players have raised or am I missing something?

While that’s true, in the case of my school, many young black men are interested in joining a fraternity and I know all of the fraternities on our campus would love to diversify their members. The boundary is that there are more than a few well established black fraternities on our campus. I am all for black fraternities and the empowerment and support it provides their members, but it’s not entirely fair to say our group of fraternities are exclusive and racist when there are houses that provide an atmosphere that these men may seem more comfortable with. It truly is not that the other fraternities are avoiding members from different backgrounds and no one is bashing on the ethnic fraternities for not giving out bids to white guys wearing vineyard vines (which they shouldn’t). It’s a tough situation.

I don’t want to be that guy, but what the hell is the mom doing? You don’t need to be a helicopter parent but if your kid is at the woods by himself at sundown with no way to call, that should be concerning. Parents, chime in here. Is that normal?

Regardless, great job. That man definitely didn’t have good intentions.

Also, out of the friends of mine who have had a fake, about a fifth of them (who are actually dumb enough to use it regularly) got caught and got in some kind of trouble. If you are fine with those odds, be my guest...

Senior frat guy here, Greek rank is quite useless. Best way to learn about a fraternity you’re interested in; Meet the guys and ask any sorority friends you may have about them. It’s not full proof but they typically will have a better perspective.

That’s true, but he’s also 17 and I don’t want to pop the fun bubble on chapel hill bars but the bouncers at most of them are particularly strict for under 21 year olds. Sure, you could go to Maw 5 nights out of the week but who would torture themselves enough to do that?

For a second I thought you were talking about Queen’s guitarist, Brian May, that was going to ruin my whole month. Thank god he’s the director, I couldn’t give less of a shit about that pitiful movie. Rocketman was 20x more compelling.

I haven’t had any issue with UNC parking or getting any tickets so parking near Davis is a good spot.

I’d suggest grabbing something nearby and having a picnic on the quad. 10/10 would recommend.

I don’t have a reliable source on this but I’ve heard that sorority rush is happening but I’ve heard nothing about IFC/MGC/NPHC. I feel like if OFSL (office of fraternity and sorority life) was to force serious changes, they should release a statement and plan of action soon to allow all of the fraternities/sororities to plan logistics and finances.
