I installed Etrack on the inside sides of the bed. Game changer for strapping stuff down.

I don’t know anything about Indian, but I would say not the nightster. I have ridden a few nightsters and they feel very anemic. If you want a smaller bike I would look for a used sportster. Absolutely tons of aftermarket support and parts availability. Or a used M8 soft tail.

Full transparency. I vape. I used to smoke. I don’t know your history or why vaping bothers you so much. IMO vaping isn’t a big deal. It doesn’t stink up the house or stick to your clothes.l, and the health risks are significantly less than tobacco. If someone isn’t already addicted to nicotine they absolutely should not start, but it is way better than smoking. I totally agree he shouldn’t have hidden it, but if that’s his only addiction I’d say let it be. Also quitting nicotine is comparable to quitting H. It’s easier to quit vaping because you don’t have all the other chemicals that cigarettes do, but it’s still very difficult.

So a serial philanderer, adjudicated rapist, likely child toucher, and raciest is in line with your Christian values? Also the goat is often used in satanic symbolism. Sounds about right.

Honda shadow 1100 is what I’d go for, or an HD trike. The new trikes are actually really nice to ride and are really comfortable. Plenty of power, comfortable seats, and a reverse gear. They are a great option for someone who wants to stay in the wind.

I get being anxious about learning to shift. Shifting a bike is not like shifting a car. It’s much easier, and bikes have a wet clutch that is way more forgiving. IMO shifting is a big part of the enjoyment of riding a bike. I love banging through the gears as I get on the freeway. After you get your license and everything id sit on a few different bikes to see what feels the best. Then get a cheap used one. Cut your teeth on that, then get the bike you want. This will give you a chance to figure out what kind of riding you enjoy. Maybe you like long trips, or adventure riding, or going fast in a straight line. Maybe you just want to cruise. I never advise people to spend a bunch of money on their first bike. And be open to new experiences.

This picture was taken about 80lbs ago lol, but yes dropping pounds has helped.

It’s mostly my butt and tail bone. A new seat is definitely on the list. Also thinking about swapping the pegs for those mini floor boards.
longpig503
I’ve thought about getting those crash bars that can double as hwy pegs for that reason

Please don’t get your helmet from Amazon. I understand helmets are expensive. But it’s better to spend the money on a decent helmet, than to shit in a bag the rest of your life because you wanted to save $100. I really recommend going down to your local cycle gear or dealership. Even if it’s to just try on helmets and figure out your head size and shape. You can buy from them or go to a reputable site like revzilla.

I’m 6ft 350lbs. I love my shadow. I’ve got a ‘13 phantom and I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it.

I always recommend people get a “battery tender” brand charger. They are the most reliable I’ve seen. I can not tell you how many times I’ve picked up somebody’s dead bike and it’s on some off brand charger.
longpig503
Do it. I have that bike. I love it.
longpig503
Hell yeah. I thought about doing the same thing. It would be a lot of work, but they do look super cool.

I have hobbit feet and I’m always happy with keen.

down shift and use engine breaking when going down hill. Practice balancing at slow speed. Don’t be afraid to give a little more room than normal in traffic. I can often time it so I can slow role with the clutch in, or just idling in first. By the time I catch up to the car in front of me traffic is moving again.

When you are moving the bike does all the work for you. When you stop, put your foot down. Work on your clutch/throttle control. Look up YouTube videos on proper hand positioning so you don’t whiskey throttle.

Keen makes a square toe pull on now. I think those are going to be my next try.

I’ve always found keen to make a comfortable boot. I just got a pair of the Georgia pull on wedge soles. So far they are super comfortable.

Idk your dimensions but my Honda shadow phantom has a pretty low seat height and isn’t that heavy for a cruiser. Also pretty beginner friendly.

People can’t help what turns them on. It doesn’t mean you aren’t enough or he doesn’t also find you attractive. You can let it bother you and make him feel judged or like he’s a pervert. You can just let it be and accept it. Or you can have an open, non judgmental conversation with him and figure out what about it excites him. Maybe incorporate it into your bedroom activities. Pegging or chastity or what ever it is.

I mean. If you like the bike keep it. They cost money either way. Payments or repairs. I personally prefer older bikes. I feel the build quality is better and there is less to go wrong. Obviously not always the case, but I’m an old guy and I like old stuff. You could also go to the YouTube school of motorcycle repair and learn to wrench on it yourself.

I’m in a much better heads space now, but for a long time riding was the only time I didn’t wish I was dead. I have ADD and I’m probably on the spectrum. Because I have to focus when I ride it calms my brain. The stress from work and home responsibilities goes away and I get to just experience the world. You see more on a motorcycle than a car, and you experience the smells of the world around you. You feel the temperature changes. It’s freedom. I’m only reasonable for myself. It’s just me in my bubble.
In my market. Looking at 3 or 4 grand. I’d say just ride it.
