im sure there is some pedalling. but madeira is a steep mtn island and the roads wind a lot.1 the guides from FM said pedalling was almost non existent. the island is wild. i loved it.

no pedalling whatsoever. its all shuttles. the trails are all over the island so i dont know if one single location is ideal. but i only went for a week trip so im not an expert by any means. contact freeride madeira for more info would be my suggestion.
