Why does it infuriate you to hear that a disabled person isn't actively living in misery?
I understand that it's shit living on the breadline and having to graft just to get by, but a disabled person getting looked after by their partner in their house aren't the enemy here.

Yeah but the idea is they look better than a big angry pimple that you might be tempted to either pick at or put makeup over, both of which delay healing and risk further infection. I'd rather have a goofy looking star on my cheek than have everyone I see that day trying to dodge eye contact with the biggest whitehead in a 3 mile radius

I'm from the central belt and just don't encounter Gaelic very much, outside of place names etc.
As a kid I used to love watching the Gaelic shows, Na Daoine Beaga was a huge hit with me as a kid who loved fairies. Dotaman as well. I swear I have memories of understanding them as well, which means as an adult I kind of wish there had been more of it so I could've learned it the way most of us learn a language - immersion in childhood.
As far as connection to the language goes, I feel so much more connected with Scots than I do Gaelic. I appreciate the cultural impact of both languages, but Gaelic feels more like a foreign language, and Scots feels like uncovering something native to me. I wish both languages had greater recognition and respect, things like the Scots Wikipedia disaster I think genuinely set us back quite a bit and it winds me up. I wish there was a genuine modern revival with greater use in schools etc. I have loved seeing the wee Singaporean (?) woman who has learned Gaelic and I believe Scots as well, totally off her own back from the other side of the world, making tiktoks and enjoying the culture. I love seeing people use Gaelic but yeah, just feels like it's not for me at this point.
Ultimately though, I'm learning Spanish. It feels vibrant, energetic, alive, and I can share it with so many people. Spanish gives me access to so much more of the world, where Gaelic would give me access to so much more of certain parts of Scotland. If I could download the language into my brain I would, but my resources are spent on Spanish now. I take weekly classes, and I don't even think they do Gaelic classes in my area. I also hear what others have said in this thread about Gaelic seeming really insular and hard to get into, and I'd agree. I'd support us going the way Irish and Welsh have, and desperately want to see Scots being treated better, but until then, you'll see me at Spanish classes.

Why would your GC be preferably in a separate city from your home aetherite? Is that just personal preference or is there a reason?

That's not really an "all lives matter" thing. it is genuine historical fact that the nazis targeted several groups who they felt were degenerate, racially subhuman, or contributed to the downfall of their idealised society. Jewish people were the largest target, absolutely, and we rightfully remember the holocaust primarily as an antisemitic genocide. but to reduce literally millions of deaths of other groups, 3 million soviet POWs, nearly 2 million ethnic poles, somewhere between a quarter and half a million Romani/traveller, quarter of a million disabled people, and thousands of gay people, to "all lives matter" is ridiculous.
the scale of devastation from the nazis is truly impossible to overstate. the systematic slaughter of over 6 million jewish people was literally half of the story. it takes nothing away from the gravity of the murder of jewish people to discuss the other millions of people who were murdered by the nazis. in fact, reducing the story of wwii and the nazis to just that leaves us painfully susceptible to repeating their atrocities, because we forget everything else that contributed to the regime, like the desire to annihilate soviet communism in favour of german fascism, by way of slaughtering slavic people. this is not 'all lives matter', this is discussing the extent of one of the darkest times in history. a time that some people are now looking back on fondly while they try to recreate the conditions that lead to it. because we've allowed ourselves to forget those conditions, we are now repeating them.

you've looked up her ex, someone she's chosen to no longer be with, and hurt your own feelings because she's chosen to be with you instead.
talk to her. people can like more than one kind of thing. she's not with her ex for a reason, and she's chosen you for a reason.

I was in seeing a mental health nurse and talking about the autism that every doctor said I definitely had, but I couldn't get officially diagnosed because they have no adult diagnostic pathways for autism in my health board. I was saying how hard it was on me and how I couldn't afford the private healthcare fees of approximately £2,000. He suggested I go and sell feet pics on onlyfans to pay for it.
I was so shocked I couldn't do anything but leave the room as quickly as possible. I wish I had complained. Bit late now.

It should be easy to get a new job with enough graft, but it's not. I work with people who are struggling to make it through the system all the time, it is rare (but not nonexistent) for people to be chancers, and it is depressingly common for people to just get caught in a bad set of circumstances. What you're proposing would put children at unnecessary risk of poverty, hunger, homelessness, or worse, for no other reason than you reckon it should be alright.

As a mortgage payer you cannot apply for housing element of UC. The justification for this is that the DWP don't want to essentially buy your house for you. So if you had lost your job and had no other income you'd have to pay your rent, bills, food, fuel, transport, clothes, entertainment, culture, everything off of £424.90/m. Or £666.90/m if you're a couple.
There is a loan available to pay mortgage interest but it's discretionary and, of course, you have to pay it back.
I'm just not sure you've thought this little plan through

brush your eyebrows with a clear brow gel, I think that'll solve a lot of what you're perceiving as unevenness. The hairs on the head of the one on the left seem to by lying more horizontally than the ones on the right which is moving the thickness of them down slightly. If the hairs are sitting a little more diagonally to fill in that little bit of fullness that's making the one on the right seem more curved, you'll probably stop noticing it.
Like all the other comments are saying, your eyebrows are fine. You're spending too much time analysing your appearance and picking up tiny insecurities. Eyebrows are not meant to be perfectly symmetrical.

It's not untruthful to say you love animals while still eating them. In the same way, it's not untruthful to say you care about worker's rights or the environment while eating plant products that have been picked and processed by exploited workers, often migrants or from poor countries with low wages and little protections and then shipped to you from across the world using a quantity of fuel that could've powered a small village for a week.
We make the choices that are available to us. Opting out of these things is an immense privilege. It's okay to recognise that - live a truthful life with truthful words.

Not at all, you were awarded based on the amount of distress you face handling journeys. You are not expected to remain in a state of extreme suffering every day, and you are expected to use the money to help you manage day to day. You would not need to report a change of circumstances. COC is for when your condition significantly changes in such a way that your daily living expectations are significantly different. You getting a car would not change your condition, it would change your mode of transport. Don't submit a COC for this.

You've definitely got enough brows to visit a brow place, I think that'd be a good idea if you're looking for help making some small changes. But again, genuinely, the brows you have look lovely!
lowkeyterrible
Your eyebrows look just fine, you've spent too much time close to the mirror overthinking things. The shape is nice, they're plenty symmetrical (remember eyebrows are sisters, not twins. they're not meant to be the same) and from what i can see here they suit your face well.
if you're looking for a change you can probably adjust the angle of the tail to be more arched (generally you should shape from the bottom, clean up from the top) but i don't think this would look good on you because you've already got a prominent orbital bone doing a lot of the work for you.
If you specifically want greater symmetry, I'd just comb through them with a spoolie and some clear brow gel to get the hairs lying more the same, and maybe fill in the one on the right a little bit over the hairs on the top. Use a light brow pencil or eyeshadow to try it out. Keep in mind the hairs at the head of the brow (nearest your nose) should more or less be sitting up and diagonally towards the end - let them flow roughly the same way they are now.
Seriously, you look lovely. These aren't in need of any fixing.

Completely agree. I've been volunteering with a social policy organisation and it's been amazing. The idea of doing retail for free is desperately unappealing to me but that doesn't mean the options end there.

Contact DWP and ask for an update, they may be able to tell you about a timescale. If there is none, you can contact your local MP to ask them to chase it up - usually all you need to do is an email and a secretary will ask you for some details.
The DWP is almost always backed up so delays are normal, but you are entitled to an update and you have the right to ask for help.

No. Your bad days are still bad. Like you said, you were awarded on the basis that on a bad day you would be unable to walk more than 50m. You weren't awarded on the basis that you can never walk more than 200m ever. That would be ridiculous and an impossible way to design a system. Having good days doesn't erase the bad ones. You do not have to report a change of circumstances every time you have a few good days. You would have to report a change of circumstances if, for example, your doctor told you things were significantly different, you had a change in diagnosis, or you were having significantly fewer bad days on a consistent basis, such as going from 2 bad days a week to 2 bad days a month for multiple months.
You do not have to report a change in circumstances when you walk more than 200m on some days. You do not have to report a change in circumstances when your mobility varies. PIP is designed to take fluctuating conditions exactly like yours into account. PIP is designed to allow you to work if you are able to, regardless if this is permanent or temporary. If you need independent verification of this, get in touch with somewhere like citizen's advice or a local advocacy organisation who will tell you what would actually constitute a COC.
Having such strong anxiety that you're genuinely considering throwing away hundreds of pounds every month is indicative of a serious mental health issue. I would really encourage you to speak to a GP to talk about your options. I understand why you're worried, I really do, but to be worried to this extent isn't right. And quite frankly, you've been assessed by the DWP who are known to be very strict, and they've renewed your application. You are unwell and this has been recognised by the government. You are not lying to them.
Before you get in touch with the DWP, I would really strongly encourage you to reach out to your GP about anxiety and to understand your condition and what the GP would consider a COC, and to speak to citizen's advice to understand under what circumstances the DWP would require you to speak to them.
lowkeyterrible
They already have it built in to PIP that someone may have good days and bad days. It's also not a work based benefit, you can still go back to work while receiving pip. They're extremely unlikely to investigate you for fraud if all you're doing is having a fluctuating condition while trying to maintain employment.
Personally I think what you should do is speak to a doctor for help with anxiety, not stop your claim and throw away hundreds of pounds every month that you have been assessed to be entitled to. PIP have essentially told you they'll leave you alone for three years - let them. After that, drop your claim if you need to. I understand the fear and anxiety is quite strong and it doesn't always feel good to be on PIP but genuinely I think this is a decision fuelled by a fearful emotional reaction rather than anything rational. You would regret it so much after you stopped it and lost the hundreds of pounds monthly and the anxiety faded a little bit.

Deprivation of capital is usually when you've moved money so it can't be found, especially to convince them you've got less than you do. They do expect you to use your money, it's okay to buy something big like that.
I had a doctor at the hand clinic say she thought I had carpal tunnel and a ganglion cyst, but the nerve conduction study makes it seem like I'm not dealing with carpal or cubital tunnel. So, back to square one it seems. No treatment, same pain. It's great and I feel great about it. While I'm trying to figure out what this actually is, I thought it would be useful to track my symptoms, especially the pain in my hands/arms and any further pains in my body. The plan is to fill these out a couple of times a week while I wait for appointments to come through, so I've got a trove of evidence.
Side note, if anyone's got information on things like CT but not CT that are worth investigating, let me know!
