If your team are morons, let them lose and don’t feel guilty. It’s your game too, you paid money for it, you deserve to play it however you like. Throw up a recon drone every so often and you’ll be doing more than 90% of the dickheads that play support.

Op is a bot

Nobody is going to buy skins if people can turn them off. It isn't the "developers" that get to decide.

Also, if you did this, it would be back to release where the entire match is just shrieking women because the only engineer and support skins were women for some reason.

The game's playerbase is especially toxic, but the devs are also fucking things up really badly and doing a terrible job on comms. They don't seem to understand what "early access" actually is.

If they eliminate progression unlocks, and just make it about whether you have the cash, then that makes perfect sense. I'd support it 100%.

By wiping the people who used the exploit. This is what is done in basically every single game that has both progression and exploits. Resetting global progress for everyone is an odd choice.

It’s the internet. Nuanced opinions are ignored so nobody posts them.

I really really liked this game. I like having something between Battlefield and ArmA. I’ve found being infantry is really fun. Helicopters were fun. Supply runs were a great time and learning the flight model and becoming competent was really gratifying. Haven’t had that much fun since Desert Combat came out as a BF1942 mod. I also really loved the rain.

I think the core issue is that the devs intended to make a game for 50k players like Tarkov, and instead they got 500k and they’re feeling the unexpected pain of losing 90% of them. There was never a possibility of maintaining those numbers with regular progression wipes—nobody is interested in perpetually being level 10 in a PvP shooter—and they don’t want to just capitulate and make Less Shitty Battlefield, which I respect.

saying a bad idea is intentional doesn't make it not a bad idea

So you wrote a web server

Adolfo Costanzo was the "peak" in the sense that it was probably when Ben started going off the rails into alcoholism. Every alcoholic I've known has gone through that period where they're just nailing all their jokes and lighting up the room. And those episodes were from December 2020, he was not handling the pandemic well

lqstuart

relax, we'll never make it

kinda the definition of planned chaos

I’m convinced that nobody actually cares about game discs and this stuff is just easy rage bait for karma farming bots. Cry to all the dead NES and SNES game cartridges in my parents attic about discs going away. Good luck figuring out how to hook the console up to a modern TV. There’s probably an RF switch somewhere up there too.

if I'm giving the absolute slightest impression that I give a shit about the FOB it's because I don't have the money for weapons and armor

lqstuart

As a Reddit user I’m not really concerned about the recent progress changes, it’s more about anyone online enjoying anything at all or disagreeing with me in the slightest way

lqstuart

lol this game is going to die faster than Battlebit Remastered

lqstuart

The long term health of this game hinges entirely on whether the devs realize their “vision” is actually a bad game that nobody wants to play

lqstuart

That was me the first time, I admit. I thought the pow was sneaking up on a friendly to knife him or something (it was literally 10 minutes after I got in my first game, did not know there were no knives...)

lqstuart

Most games address this by having a "first match of the day" bonus, not having the end of match bonus be +50%, and not having 2+ hour matches. Sweats should have better shit and more XP, it's more about addressing the long tail of casual users who make up a majority of the playerbase and a minority of player-hours

lqstuart

The very first match I joined, some of us on Blue killed a guy on Red, took all his weapons, revived him and he was our POW who gave us Green positions. One of those fun things that happens early in a game's lifecycle before it turns to shit

lqstuart

and players with 200 ping too, looks like?

Gray is asphalt, reddish-brown is a dirt road, the lighter yellowish brown is like a narrow path or a really fucked up muddy road that's usually worse than the reddish brown.

Put a bit differently, the reddish brown are normal Snowrunner roads, yellowish brown you'll have a hard time with a semi-trailer, and gray is the asphalt that connects broken bridges to downed powerlines

lqstuart

The purpose of Max Payne 3 was to set up "Max Payne 4," the game where you fire up GTA V and play as Michael with the Max Payne haircut and the Hawaiian shirt

lqstuart

It does have an identity, and that identity is COD

lqstuart

I actually thought it was targeted at people over the age of 20? But I guess they don’t want anyone who might have real-world obligations that prevent them from spending two straight hours in a single match
