This doesn't get mentioned much, but there are no billboards on the side of our highways. My husband, who was raised all over the world, pointed that out when he moved here. Evidently there is a law preventing or at least heavily restricting it.
We are a wealthy state with high taxes, and I can tell in our roads and schools.
There are hundreds of nicely maintained suburbs with good people who contribute to creating welcoming communities.

My SIL has 4 boys. Her hardest baby is her gentlest, sweetest toddler/preschooler. Her easiest baby became her hardest toddler. Her husband called it "the demonic possession that took [sons name] when he turned 3"

Out of curiosity, why do you think removing guns wouldn't help? When mass shootings happened in other rich, democratic countries they immediately banned firearms and mass shootings all but disappeared. What makes the US so unique that this wouldn't happen?

Completely depends on your child and lifestyle. My son wasn't a spitter and had maybe 1 blowout a week, so would be in 1 outfit a day. Some people go through 1 outfit an hour. He also was a pretty small/average sized baby, so generally things fit him for a while and I never felt like we "wasted" his clothes by only wearing it once

I mean they can wear footies in a carrier. If they seem uncomfortable adjust their PJs. No need to complicate the already challenging first several months of infancy.

I thought it was optional? It's been over a year since I used mine but I have a vague memory of taking a wet bottle out and wiping it with a paper towel

To be fair, my husband and I make fun of salesmen a lot too. We have two good friends who do sales. All legit, both work hard. But we joke that it's not a "real" job and they're always pitching something.

Always a risk on this sub hahaha

You'd hate my marriage!! I love a nice meal out but once 9 or 10 rolls around it's time for bed. My husband is a night owl and frequently stays out later with friends, especially if work has been hectic and he gets a well deserved break. Which it seems like Travis is doing. Good for them for finding balance in their relationship!

I agreed that plenty of babies wake up needing comfort in the night- my 2 year old still does! But comfort can be given in a multitude of ways that does not include breastfeeding. I even said to keep 1-2 night feeds to aid in the transition. But if a 9 month old truly needs 3-4 night feeds every night a pediatrician needs to be consulted because that is not normal or expected

Any baby container (bouncer, swing etc). My baby hated being contained. He was either held or playing on the floor.

I started to wean around 9 months and with that came dropping the night feeds. It changed my life. We gave bottles initially then quickly he dropped to just 1 wakeup and 1 bottle. I still nursed during the day but oh boy getting sleep at night saved me.
I'm not saying to wean. But 9 month olds don't need 3-4 night feeds. I know that's an unpopular opinion on this discussion but it's true. Keep 1-2 night feeds to smooth the transition then go sleep somewhere else. Let your husband (or MIL since she has so many opinions) soothe baby back to sleep. It's normal for babies to wake up and need comfort but you don't have to feed 3-4 times overnight. That's newborn numbers.

Oof some babies are just content. Mine was NOT. But some never fuss and sleep well around 6-8 weeks. My best friend had a unicorn baby like that. Truly motherhood was nearly always easy for her, then her easy baby turned into a "threenager" as she had her second baby. Then real life caught up to her REAL fast.

OP, I was able to get pregnant the first time trying every time (3x). We planned our pregnancies for when I wanted to be pregnant and deliver. Obviously life happens but best wishes for your upcoming pregnancy.

Do you do any milk with added nutrients? We do the whole milk with DHA. Because of the added DHA it is marked as a fish allergen. It looks like they use fish oil in the milk to get the benefits. Just a thought since your baby has done Ok with dairy in the past. Get in with a Dr, that's an unusual reaction. It must have been scary for everyone! I hope you get answers soon.

Colloidal silver is used topically in wound care for its anti bacterial properties. If he had a significant eye condition and traditional meds failed him I think it's reasonable to try an alternative.

This right here. My son hates sleeps, he needs it, but he fights it. Once we dropped to 1 nap life got so much easier. Now we just fight nap time and bed time. Earlier in his life, it was fighting 4 naps and bedtime. Each dropped nap felt like a miracle.

Oof I'm the worst person to ask. I was in the same boat as you. I opted for a mixture of layering non hormonal options. For instance, I would track my cycle. On fertile days, we'd literally do non-penetrative sexual activity to avoid the risk all together. On non-fertile days, we'd use a condom and pull out. We're a very fertile couple. Once I healed enough from my C section, and another pregnancy would be inconvenient but not dangerous, we removed the condom and just did pull out in general. Worked for us! Waited 2 years between pregnancy, expecting our second now which happened once we actually started "trying".

I hope you start feeling better soon. If it makes you feel better, at 5 weeks my best friend frantically texts me begging for help cause she was violently sick with her second pregnancy. I even told her to go to the ER for fluids. It turns out she had a stomach illness on top of her morning sickness. So while she was still sick for weeks 5-10 ish it was never as violent as it was those early days. I hope you feel better soon! Take the Zofran

I get it. Figure out what your goal is. Do you want to encourage independent play, more nutritious snacking? Start with replacing 1 times a day you would normally give puffs with a different activity if you want to encourage independent play. Same with swapping puffs for a more nutritious snack. Start small and achievable instead

This is a sign I've listened to the show too much, but she sings "sticky sticky fingers we love you" in the same rhythm as well

Carters frequently does $5 basic shirts, pants etc. Just load up then. If you want free, ask your local buy nothing group and pass on what you don't like. But frankly $5-10 for decent quality clothes your kid will wear potentially for 8 months (especially as they get older and growth slows down) is pretty good

I just can't imagine solo traveling with multiple young children while pregnant in a strapless romper. It seems like a nightmare while rocking fussy babies or carrying multiple bags

Perverts exist unfortunately. You may not sexualize a little girl in a swimsuit, but others will.
My son is 2.5 and not in daycare or school. He has traveled a ton with us all over the world and has an active playgroup we see near daily.
He gets sick maybe 5 times a year, all minor. He never just acquires them randomly, there is always a trigger, for instance he currently has HFM because a kid in his playgroup got it from daycare and passed it around.
He got covid at 12 months when we traveled to Alaska, but he was on the plane or in the airport for 24 hours.
