I dont recall anyone directly supporting the post I made but there were a couple others in the chat who retroactively said they disagreed with the rule yet said nothing until things started blowing up

Idek. The last convo I had with the head mod was him calling me a coward for standing against the other mods and I diplomatically explained myself. Said the post was both an honest public vote that also doubled as a political move so that the crowd of users wouldn't feel like it was an "us versus them" kinda situation by way of having a mod on the people's side. He didn't like that cause he felt mods should stick together and kicked me out right after.

Dude can post the screencaps if he wants, there's nothing that paints him in a better light tho

Mods wanted to ban Claire related posts. I was a mod and said it was bs. Mods got mad I went public about it then kicked me off the team lol. Pretty much sums it up.

I didn't get the chance to screenshot the final convo we had before they kicked me out lol, but dude was so melodramatic about it. Literally said I "started a war" between the mods because I went public against them. Actually had me cackling out loud

Oh I'm fine man, I had a shit day at work and all this drama has honestly had me smiling ear to ear since it broke out lmao, its very entertaining

In case you haven't seen it, the "No Claire posts" rule has already been revoked lol.

Having witnessed both sides of this debacle, I'd like to say this:

It is far too easy to say you're doing something for the greater good while lacking the foresight to see that what you're doing is only hurting those you're trying to help, and this applies to many different areas of life. This is how helicopter parents form. Control- intentional as protection, received as oppression.

The dude who made that "No Claire posts" rule thought he was doing a good thing. Thought he was lessening the load on the mods, and thought he was helping quell the transphobia. Two butters with one bread, y'know? Well, as he is human, as we all are, he was mistaken. Its all good, yall. Choom saw the errors of his ways and feels bad about it.

So what now?

Claire posts are back in business, transphobes are still being hunted for their gonk beliefs, and soon we will be bringing on more mods to lighten the load on everyone.

In conclusion: Don't be gonk- Be chill. And remember that this is just Reddit lol. None of this is serious at all. Not the subreddit itself, not the users, not the mods. We're all just trying to have a good time here.
