Not an officer but went on a ride along one time. We responded to a “shots fired” call where the computer said the report was of multiple shots being fired from a shotgun. We pull up and stage a block away with like 15 other units from city and county and all the guys gear up and start walking towards the house. I obviously had to stay in the car. About 45 minutes later, my officer runs back to pull our car up so I could see what was going on. And the scene was declared safe. Well all I see is a boyfriend and girlfriend in handcuffs sitting on the front lawn, and holy shit did she look pissed. Long story short, they got into a fight with each other, and she slammed the bedroom door so hard so many times, that the neighbors called in saying they heard gunshots. Still baffles me that someone could slam a door so hard that it could be mistook for a gun shot. Maybe the neighbor was just sick of their fighting and wanted a quicker response. We’ll never know, I just always found it interesting.

Sorry my grammar is a little off, I posted this on fb a while ago when I was stoned and watching Star Trek. However it was from the soul and it's how I really feel. So many dreams I want to happen, so little life to live. Make the most of it and follow your dreams, you never know where they will lead.

I honestly wish warp drive was a real thing from Star Trek. Vulcan was 4 light years away and it takes the enterprise 12 minutes to get there in warp 9. Man I really wish I was born 200 years from now.
