Do the myostatin inhibitors have the same bad side effects as steroids, etc, that they make organs like the heart grow in addition to skeletal muscle?

It's basically the latest version of the protocol that the DC fast chargers use but with a lot of extensions for next gen charging technologies, especially for truck & bus (pantographs, wireless charging, bidirectional DC and AC charging, etc).

Accidentally posted this in a cross-post thread instead of the main thread, so posting it here too.
Is the power transfer handshake between the charger and the vehicle going to be implemented to the ISO15118-20 bidirectional AC profile, or is this Ford proprietary?

Where you live doesn't change the fact that us having this conversation right now is slightly suppressing the democratic vote for people who read /r/Detroit by ever so slightly moving the needle of complacency for those who see it

Assuming a group of people that includes yourself is immune to propaganda is one of those classic insidious mindsets. If nothing else, every post to this thread (mine included, in fairness) is amplifying the headline "Abdul is ahead" in Reddit's algorithm for everyone who casually browses the /r/Detroit subreddit to see

That is great discussion to be had after the election when analyzing the results, not ahead of time when the very act of discussing it is going to contribute to the problem

And as soon as you publish a result, people who are behind will be more motivated and people who are ahead become complacent. Even a small subconscious effect adds up over millions of people, and the campaigns themselves will be using these results to focus their ad spend on the leadup to the election.
What I'm saying is don't believe the numbers, act as if you're always behind and GO VOTE like your life depends on it

Just remember that unless you are a campaign manager, the polls are not meaningful for you. Even if they are accurate, the campaigns will all be using this info to try to change their numbers so as soon as they are published they are out of date

If it's like my dealership you have to pull the vehicle inside to a check-in area when you bring it in. They might have to figure out how to get it to power back up just to get it out of the service lobby

This is absolutely amazing!

Umich has been generating their own power since 1914, around the same time that the electricity rollout was happening in general. It's only barely younger than DTE itself

Renting a cottage for a group long predates Airbnb but most of those options have migrated over to the platform. For that application, using Airbnb generally is the closest you can get to doing what people did before it existed, since they took over that market

3m VHB (the mounting tape with the red backing) is designed to be permanent. You can get it off with some muscle (and sometimes a razor blade) but once it sticks it's generally going to stay

I'm really glad in Michigan we still use the old paper ballots where you fill a bubble, then scan it into the machine, leaving a physical record

And with some industries you're expected to maintain a design for a very long time. In automotive you're typically expected to continue to manufacture and provide replacement parts for 10 years after the last unit is manufactured. If you design an ECU for one model year, amortize it out over the next 5 years, then carry it over to the next model year, it's not unrealistic to need to support a given design for ~20 years after you start

I use my truck a few times a year for home landscaping stuff, nothing too insane but it takes a few washes afterward to get rid of the evidence except for what might have been gouged into the bed liner by stone etc. Do the rental companies care if you return it in a less than pristine condition?

That has huge implications if it actually works that way. Being able to keep mobility later in life, at a minimum, to say nothing of the health benefits to an increasingly sedentary society.
