Unfortunately, it’s just a way to generate more revenue through increased play counts: instead of a user simply playing a specific song, the music just keeps playing indefinitely. I really wish they would put in a bit more effort and compile the B-sides, as well as other songs or versions that still aren’t available on these platforms.

I considered many options, taking into account everything you mentioned—including compilations that wouldn’t require entirely new material or fresh photo shoots (such as those produced for A Box of Dreams, Only Time: The Collection, or The Very Best, which relied exclusively on archival material). I thought of alternatives like a CD gathering B-sides and alternate versions, or a two-disc set featuring well-known tracks on one disc and rarities on the other, among other possibilities. Sure! I don’t use vinyl records myself, but I know they’re becoming more popular than CDs. In any case, I’m pretty sure that, little by little, they’ll release their entire discography on vinyl. This ABBA box set was released on both CD and vinyl.

Of course, something with a more premium presentation would also be well-received. I considered this, keeping in mind that CDs aren't as popular as they once were, and record labels are often reluctant to take too big a risk on something very expensive.
