So where were you when you realised that a huge proportion of "smart" people are actually dumber than pig shit?

markboats

You'll get downvoted into oblivion but you're obviously right

This sub used to be about beautiful data, now every other post is some misrepresented data presented in a mediocre format to further a dying political agenda

markboats

In other news, water is wet

markboats

OP suddenly deleting their comments again...

Just gonna post this in case they delete the entire post after getting canned so badly

This is absolutely one of the dumbest things I've read on this sub

Revolut follows CASS guidelines, which separate client and bank owned funds

POCA 2002, specifically on AFOs requires that funds subject to an an AFO must be "held intact" - they cannot use them to go playing stock trader

FCA money regime requires that interest earned by the client remains property of and payable to the client, even during periods of account suspension

The idea that there's some conspiracy where Revolut are freezing some chump's four grand in an attempt to gain financially from what amounts to less than a rounding error in their annual profits is just a special kind of special...

markboats

Likely reported for low effort content, that account just spam posts the same story everywhere they can...

If they are a real person they're so ignorant that they think Revolut Ltd is in Lithuania, and that their small claims court action being correctly changed to address Revolut Ltd is some kind of conspiracy

Kind of like your comments being removed when you spammed them all over the sub, or being removed from this thread when you behave like an asshole, it's literally in the sub rules. You're being downvoted because you're an entitled Karen who's throwing their toys out of the pram because you're not being treated like the special little boy you see yourself as

But sure, everything is a conspiracy and anyone who disagrees is paid by Revolut

markboats

Oh god... The "update"...

OP I never accused you of anything, but watching you crash out and go full mega Karen cause you're little feelings got hurt is just hilarious, definitely one of the more entertaining "frozen account" posts we've had in a while...

markboats

Of course, I keep Revolut alongside other banks that have the advantage of being and to just walk in and speak to someone

And that's after going through two transaction freezes and a half dozen KYC checks over the years I've used Revolut. The two freezes were resolved in 7min for a small transfer of around 4k and a few hours for a six figure sum from a property sale

The main difference is I don't view myself as a special little snowflake that isn't subject to checks nor important enough to merit jumping the queue of cases being looked into. It's just part of the banking system

markboats

I never accused the OP of doing anything shady, still haven't done so

All I did was point out how the timeline of events invites scrutiny from a bank's point of view

They chose to interpret that as "victim blaming" and get defensive

Can't help someone who's just aching to be the victim when in reality it's just indifference

markboats

So you're only going to engage with the comments that agree with you? Perhaps if you learned to read and comprehend what people are saying you wouldn't feel the need to be so defensive all the time?

Really a fun little conspiracy theory you have going though, I wish I could get paid to highlight the bots and liars on this sub, it's like shooting fish in a barrel. Not that I'm accusing you of any of that, wouldn't want you to get your panties even more twisted up than they are already

markboats

Nobody called you a scammer

Multiple people pointed out that what you did looked exactly like money laundering, and that the checks that Revolut are doing are not only legitimate but legally required

In response you chose to get defensive, label everyone a victim blamer if they didn't immediately agree with every deluded thing you said, and generally behaved like an entitled Karen

Probably why your unhinged replies got moderated...

markboats

So quick to jump to the defensive with no comprehension of what was said, typical Karen behaviour.

I never accused you of doing anything wrong, I said the actual events are exactly what banking systems are designed to look out for, but you seem too stupid to understand the difference

Submit your documents and wait, you aren't special, nobody cares, sit down and shut up sweetheart

markboats

The story I've read about this photo is that the fireman was hit with a Molotov cocktail

If that's true the flames above and to the left of him could conceivably be the initial fireball that rises when the bottle first breaks

I am not saying the image is genuine or not, just commenting on flames

When I first saw it the uniform ethnicity of the protesters raised an eyebrow

markboats

This post has the structure and coherence of a trump campaign rally speech...

markboats

There's definitely been an uptick in the Israeli propaganda posts in this sub recently

Genocide and fascism are not beautiful... Simple as...

EDIT: Seems calling a genocide a genocide has upset some supporters of genocide, who could have seen that coming?

Gonna just turn off notifications for this one, no point arguing with the bots and hasbara farms

markboats

When I see them, I just think - “oh, it went to my card”

And you did nothing? For months? Thousands of dollars? How would these payments even show up in your account in the first place if what you said previously was true:

He does not have access in any form to the accounts

Out of the blue he repeatedly mentions some car finance payment that never shows up on the finance statement, or an ebay purchase that never arrives, and you don't think to question it?

That alone would be suspicious, but multiple times these payments just magically show up in *your* account for some reason despite you being adamant he had no access, and your response is to shrug your shoulders?

I've seen enough now to just call you a liar straight up, you can't keep your story straight and I think that you gave permission for your husband to use your account.

You don't want to admit this because you know that authorising him to do so means that you are liable for the fact that he abused that permission to steal from you.

The unhinged tirades about your ex-husband are also pretty wild, I'd advise you to seek some professional help

markboats

That's a lot of text to not actually answer the question I asked...

So let's try again, I'll spell it out clearly for you...

You said:

For the majority of these camoflauged transactions, he would actively mention the charge to me under the name he had chosen - so you can understand why I was in the dark about this. The ones I did see, I had heard of “$490 on xyz for EBay etc”. - oh, that one I (thought) I knew about.

So... Your husband, who you claim has no authorisation to access this account, was telling you about multiple transactions for money leaving your account for thousands of dollars, and you didn't think it was at all unusual that someone would be doing that?

It never crossed your mind once why this person would know the transaction details for payments from an account they couldn't access?

This is the story you expect us to believe?

markboats

You didn't think it was suspicious at all that your husband was repeatedly giving you the names and descriptions of payments that were leaving your own bank account? Or did you know he was able to access the account?

And you said it was the same account you pay finance for your "cars" - you run your "small business" from a personal bank account or you pay for the finance of multiple vehicles from a business account?

markboats

Is this beautiful?

To me it's just horrific

There's four fingers on the side of the phone closest to the camera, and one thumb on the far side. The other two light patches are the skin or bag of the girl behind and part of the background
