Publish? No, but you can buy their books to help prep students.

Anything by Theoni Pappus or Martin Gardner. Although this next book is full of serious math, you could work the exercises as recreation: Calculus By and For Young People: Worksheets www.mathman.biz

The Latin-esque language speakers think this a place for plain old math and who could blame them!

mathheadinc

Exactly: “turn off notifications" doesn’t mean “turn off cloud upload”. Someone got a D in logic class. 🤪

mathheadinc

THIS WORKS even though it makes no sense!

mathheadinc

I don’t have to: they “stalk” their kids grades with the district-supplied online portal.

mathheadinc

It’s not the Wolfram Language. Wrong sub.

This is not a case of a child who refuses to work. The child is ill. Mom is clearly struggling. I wouldn’t block out a time for them but I would tell them to let me know when things smooth out for them and hopefully they do. Your concern about the child falling behind shows your compassion. You can only do what you can do.

I think what you want is here: https://support.gingerlabs.com/en-us/articles/16300226-content-manager-and-bulk-actions

If it isn’t, email them.

This pattern has never, ever failed to convince any student I’ve ever had but I start with the positives first.

NEVER. FAILS.

When you marked a page was there no new page immediately after it?

There is no such thing as “all of math”. That’s the fun part: there’s always more to learn and that includes the basics. So, start by learning what children learn. Read about it. Think about it. Ask questions about it. Write a lot about what you’re reading and thinking about and questioning on paper in as many different ways as you can imagine.

JUST HAVE FUN!

This is not a Desmos sub.

I am! DM me. Tell me what you need 😁

Focus on beautiful, interesting patterns. They’re the basis for the formulas that are used to do all sorts of things.

mathheadinc

Then PRACTICE! Practice in the mirror. Stand up straight when you do it. Now, GO! :D

mathheadinc

You need to have someone look over your work or ask the questions here that your teachers aren’t answering.

I’m very curious what exactly they expect you to do with you “lack the foundational skills”. That was not helpful at all.

mathheadinc

LOGARITHMS are EXPONENTS. Logarithmic expressions are inverses of exponential expressions.

Even a two-year-old can sit calmly for 30 minutes. It’s all about parental training.

My youngest online student was 5 1/2 years old but WITH MOM and not just because we needed her translation skills 🤣

The kid has to be ready and a parent must be present. Also, all of my younger online students have always been advanced. It does make a difference. It’s doable under the right conditions.

The arguments of functions require (). The logs needs ().

The parent must agree to be in the room at all times for my elementary aged students. This is a non-negotiable for the situation that you described and for the safety of all of us.

All of my sessions with the littles go great because of this.

mathheadinc

A specific way other than how it’s done in the documentation? So, the prof wants you to come up with your own method?

Edit: I’m seriously curious!

mathheadinc

I SEE! There are matrix functions in reference.wolfram.com.

mathheadinc

You don’t need a program for any of this. Are there no notes? Textbooks? Online search?
