What happens if you then just don’t eat anything?

After some time, I no longer feel hungry. The hunger comes back later, but if I then again don’t eat, it goes away again. This can be repeated, and many hours later the shaking starts.

My wishes for the quest tracker

  • Don’t have the merchant filters in one line. It’s bothersome to have to horizontally scroll to find the right one.
  • If that’s something you find in the data, mark which quests are (not) unlocked already.
  • For items, say whether they have to be in the "Looted" state or not.
  • The quests for the "Cockatrice" are missing.
  • Offer a search field which allows searching for a quest/item on the page.

Merchants page:

  • On the the merchant page, the quests are presented in a nice layout, but there only seems a way to add them to the quest favorites, but not to mark them as done. Maybe also there each quest could get a small checkbox, and a start to favorite it (in addition to the one that favorites the whole chapter). That would be an alternative to the quest tracker, sharing the same progress data / favorites.

Quest item view:

  • I think it would be useful to have a separate item view, which lists all items needed for quests. With the same filters as for quests, so e.g. I can only show the items needed for my favorite quests, or only the items needed for a merchant.
  • If that view exists, we could then maybe also check which items we already own (for quests not yet completed). That would also allow us to filter the item list to see only the items that we still need to loot and/or buy.
  • Offer filters for looted state, rarity, item type (armor, weapon, monster loot, heal item, etc.).
  • Offer a search field which allows searching for an item on the page.

Data export/import:

  • While saving my progress in a cookie/localStorage is nice, but data loss can easily happen then. It would be cool to offer an export/import function, e.g., where I can download a JSON when I updated my progress, and then import it again to rebuild my state (e.g., from a different computer). Or maybe even as a bookmark with a fragment identifier that holds data (in case it’s not too much).

Ok my biggest problem with some vegans namely peta who insist that consuming meat is unnatural for humans […]

Whether or not a behaviour is "natural" (whatever this even means for humans) has no bearing on whether or not it’s ethical/moral.

It would surprise me to see any notable vegan arguing like what you claim. Actually, the opposite is usually the case: it’s a common counter argument (= against veganism) that tries to argue that eating meat is fine because it’s natural / because we did it already for a long time in our past. And the refute to that is my first sentence: it absolutely doesn’t matter whether it’s natural or not.

You mentioned PETA. I’m not familiar with their communication, but from a quick search I found this FAQ: Isn’t eating meat natural? It’s been going on for thousands of years. Aren’t our bodies designed for it. But in their answer, they don’t claim that eating meat is unnatural. Do you have another source where PETA claims something like that?

In case someone thinks that’s real: it’s not.

Shenmue II is the better game.

👀

You did promise us a savory alternative back then, didn’t you?

mavoti

no it does not quite literally the definitation of being just vegan is above.

Your interpretation is wrong. My explanation is above. No point in repeating it here.

one can obstain from eating animals and still not give a shit about them.

True.

mavoti

they said vegan not veganism. you cant come at me for a definition when they used a different word and say educate yourself.

They said "Vegan here". It means they are vegan. That means they follow veganism.

This is painfully obvious, given the context of the whole discourse. The parent commenter mentioned "animal rights activist", the answering commenter said "Vegan here".

additionally advocating for animal abuse which this person is doing means they are not practicing veganism; but are just a vegan like they said

No, not necessarily. That hinges on the evaluation whether or not it’s cruel what the person in the video does. For example, if it were self-defense, then it wouldn’t meet the definition of cruelty (unless it’s not the least harmful effective way for self-defense), so that would be in line with veganism. In other words: veganism isn’t against any kind of harm done to animals.

mavoti

again what does this have to do with animal abuse?

Veganism is an ideology that holds that it is morally wrong to exploit and be cruel to animals.

In other words, it advocates for animals having moral rights.

mavoti

If you think veganism refers to "preference of food" in this context, educate yourself.

The early levels (from 1 to 20 or so) were glorious on Camlann’s peak. It’s among my most favorite memories in DAoC.

Mag Mell was full of players, and it turned into a huge non-stop battle. Outside, in the houses, on the towers, and on the main building’s roof. Higher-level chars rarely had an interest to gank, and if they tried, it turned into an even more fun battle where all the low-level chars tried to kill them. And sometimes other higher-level chars came to protect the low-levels from gankers (so they found interesting fights for themselves as well).

As soon as I reached higher levels (with exp from PvP only), I created a lvl 1 char again :D

With one char, I also played PvE with randoms I met in PvP, and I loved the trust aspect that this involved in bigger groups. In a downtime, a caster could suddenly disband and bomb everyone away. So I always tried to stay alert.

And when wandering through the wilderness, and you suddenly encounter another player, it was always an exciting moment for me. Do we ignore us, do we attack us, do we party?

After finishing the development, have you ever played the Grandia games again outside of work, just for yourself? And if so, have you ever played one all the way through after its release? Do you still find yourself playing your games from time to time?

And a related question: Have you ever watched other people play your games (e.g., on Twitch or YouTube)? If so, how does it feel for you to watch someone else play your game? Are you critical of your own work when you watch?

If Ironmace would improve the UI, many more scams could be prevented. No need to introduce more confirmations/hurdles.

Below each trade inventory, display the list of all items as linked names. Just like they are displayed in the trade chat: red for artifacts, white for commons etc.

You immediately see how many artifacts are in the window. Even out of the corner of your eye.

There really is no need to hide the item names behind tooltips that only show by hovering over each item’s icon. That’s bad UX, and that’s the primary reason why people fall for this scam.

The Blue Burst client was provided for free, so it can be provided for free by entities other than SEGA.

Unless given explicit permission by the copyright holder, you don’t have the right to distribute their work yourself. Doesn’t make a difference if you got it for free or not.

mavoti

You can also still just download it from Sega

Where?

mavoti

If they would distribute a modified client then that would be a different story however. So that's why nobody does that.

Even distributing the original client is not fine though, is it? The private PSOBB servers all offer the client (whether modified or not) for download, but don’t have the copyright holder’s permission for that distribution.
