But it’s hard to sell. I’d just hold on to this for like 5 years and see what it’s at. But whenever the dip is in interest and then it picks back up when it does pick back up and this is no longer “modern”, this will be a $10K card

Let me ask this question.. say this card has some scratches on the holo and it’s a 1st edition Charizard AND it’s real. A PSA 7 1ed zard is like $15K. The techniques in card restoration now would easily get scratches out if they aren’t deep. For $3K for a PGC 10 Zard if it’s real, is a steal if someone’s afraid

Just look into who technically owns PSA, not who runs it (main investing PE venture fund) and what the main person at that Private Equity Fund has been caught doing in the past and convicted of (it means they own it if they funded the acquisition of the parent company and therefore are interested in how PSA is monetizing).

You are going to, hopefully, come to the quick understanding that all of the things PSA has done in recent years is in the same breadth of what that person has done in their past.

I would actually buy this for $350 as a fun restoration project. There’s a shot some of things dings could come out. Unlikely to get anywhere near a PSA 10, but I see a 7 possibility

9 at best. Top/bottom centering is not 55/45

If he wants the card in a slab to have it in a slab, grade it the cheapest way possible this is an 8 by front centering alone (CGC lowest available tier right now is like $30 i think). They will give it a 9, they have lower standards for centering. There’s many things PSA cares about that you won’t catch. So it’s likely a 7 or an 8 at best from PSA and the only available tier right now is too much. If the thought process was to grade to get a 10 it’s not gonna happen, there’s a 0% chance.

I’d just sell these raw and get them cleaned up by a professional. Let someone else take the risk and spend the time and money. If the card looks like it could 10, people will pay a significant premium on vintage. Let the market determine the price of the card depending on the analysis of highly educated consumers. Theoretically either it’s 75% a 10 or you sell raw

First of all, immediately put it in a sleeve and don’t take it out to take a picture for us. But, yes if there’s no scratches, and you go to ismycardcentered.com and plug these photos and your right is 55/45 and top to bottom is 55/55 presumably this is packaged right and there’s no damage, a 10

These are not “repacks” fyi they were products designed for these Walgreens, CVS type stores from Pokemon. They aren’t some monstrosity Frankenstein thing someone dinged with a metal detector and put all the non hits in them. These are like a gold mine today since they sell for $5-6 a pack and contain sometimes MV > $10 packs inside and seem to hit more often than reggies

This appears to have edge wear down the left side. The centering is fine, but either can’t see in the pictures well enough, but if that left side is wear or lift you should get someone to repair it before you send it in.

The centering is not fine and you have skew down the right side. This would get a 9.

Just be mindful it’s not your choice of border measurement. They take the fattest or skinniest part of the border and measure that. I’ll take your picture and do that, it’s not going to be so close to 50/50

Corners aren’t as bad as someone said, but they do look like there is non-zero damage to the corners. Visually Right to left is like 57/43. Top to bottom is fine. But, you also gotta look at the back, not as much for centering but more so damage shows up much more clearly on the blue back

There’s multiple ascended heroes products, I did some weighing myself to see if 1) I was scammed and 2) to see which products are weighable, outside of packs:

Non-weighable:
-ETBS
-Deluxe/Mega Boxes

Weighable:
Loose packs
Booster Bundles

Effectively, anything that has non-card variability will be your best bet. There’s too much variability in the weight of the big promo cards, the plastic inserts, the coins, sleeves etc and even the outside paper box to be able to discern weights of the interior packs.

Mark my words, in a few years no one will buy booster bundles or loose packs of ascended heroes it will all have been weighed with 75+ % accuracy. And if your odds of a god pack are 1 in 1000 they just became 1 in 3-4000. All the scalpers with booster bundles and loose packs won’t be able to sell them for anything over MSRP without a weight attached to the sale

This looks slightly damaged on corners. This card is also likely very dusty and has a lot of dirt on it from being stored in a shed. I’d personally send it to someone for cleaning, more than likely if it’s not sun damaged the colors will come back.
