You mean bots like you?
What are you talking about anyway? Are you talking about Canada and the US? No, I'm pretty sure that's not bots. Pretty sure that's because Trump is a deranged senile lunatic and a total piece of shit of a human being.

Why does literlaly everything on the internet have to devolve into some school yard bullshit of someone sticking their nose up at you?
How does this compare to existing (free and paid) solutions that HA users might want to use?
Within HA you have literally three options for a voice assistant:
- Built-in Assist which is extremely rigid, requires the friendly name of device which nobody uses, only allows single intent per-message, and is simply not nice.
- Local LLM which requires a dedicated GPU costing $300 - $2000, and even that comes with 3 - 5 second latency and issues with context window length if you have lots of devices.
- Cloud via ChatGPT / Claude, but that goes against the entire ethos of HA, which is a smart home without beg tech. That's the whole point of HA, so sending your messages and device config to Sam Altman seems to go against that.
can see zero data on actual performance or benchmarks that would suggest this
Demo sentences: https://nlu.to/ha/demo_sentences
What other claims? On device, millisecond latency, unlimited devices, what? Throw your e-mail in, and give it a spin dude, it's absolutely free of charge.
has me scratching my head: Why did you build this?
I got pissed off at big tech. Manifesto here: https://cicero.sh/r/manifesto
Don't responding to your remarks. If you'd like to have an actual discussion, I'm all for it. If you simply want to be a sterotypical Redditor who likes to pick an internet fight to make themselves feel smart, then it's a waste of my time.

Most friendly would be any of the Buddhist countries in SE Asia. Least friendly would be the Carribean islands like Barbados. Constant perpetual hell, and only time in my life I got a legit death threat against me, all because I wouldn't let the guy rape some 19yo white girl from Boston who was totally out of it.

Just asked Google Gemini what CBDCs are in relation to AI. Here's what it gave me.
This sounds terrifying. Right up there with police getting a wire tap for your brain once we all have neural links. I'm blind, so it's a topic of conversation as they're developing a vision chip.
Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDCs) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) are two emerging technologies that hold the potential to revolutionize the financial system, and they can work together in interesting ways:
AI can enhance CBDC design and functionality: AI can analyze vast amounts of data on spending habits and economic trends to help central banks design CBDCs that are efficient, inclusive, and meet the specific needs of their economies. [4]
AI can fight fraud and crime: Transaction data from CBDCs can be analyzed by AI to identify and prevent fraudulent activity in real-time. This can make CBDCs even more secure than traditional cash. [3]
AI can personalize financial services: AI can use CBDC data to tailor financial products and services to individual users. For example, AI might be able to recommend savings plans or loan options based on a user's spending habits. [1]
AI can improve monetary policy: Central banks can leverage AI to analyze CBDC data and make more informed decisions about interest rates, inflation control, and other monetary policy aspects. [4]
However, there are also challenges to consider:
Data privacy: The vast amount of data collected through CBDCs raises concerns about privacy. AI systems need to be designed with strong safeguards to protect user data. [1]
Transparency and explainability: AI decision-making can be opaque. Central banks need to ensure that AI is used in a transparent and accountable way, especially when it comes to decisions that could impact financial inclusion or access to credit. [1]
Overall, CBDCs and AI have the potential to be a powerful combination for shaping the future of finance. However, careful consideration needs to be given to the potential drawbacks to ensure a secure, fair, and beneficial financial system.

If anyone is like me and hadn't heard of BLAKE3 until now, below is from Google Bard. Thank god for AI or I would have been forced to use Google search again.
BLAKE3 is a cryptographic hash function that offers several advantages over existing options like MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2, and even its predecessor, BLAKE2. Here's a breakdown of its key features and uses:
Properties:
Speed: BLAKE3 stands out for its exceptional speed. It significantly outperforms other popular hash functions, especially on modern architectures.
Security: Unlike MD5 and SHA-1, BLAKE3 is secure against modern cryptographic attacks. Additionally, it offers protection against length extension vulnerabilities present in SHA-2.
Parallelism: The function's internal structure allows for high parallelization across threads and SIMD lanes, making it efficient on both multi-core processors and specialized hardware.
Versatility: BLAKE3 is a single algorithm with multiple functionalities, unlike other hash families with dedicated variants. It can operate as a regular hash function, a message authentication code (MAC), a key derivation function (KDF), a pseudo-random function (PRF), and an extendable output function (XOF), offering flexibility for various use cases.
Simplicity: Unlike other families with multiple variants and parameters, BLAKE3 has a single, user-friendly implementation, minimizing complexity and reducing potential configuration errors.
Uses:
Data integrity verification: BLAKE3 can be used to verify the integrity of downloaded files, ensuring they haven't been tampered with during transmission.
Password hashing: Hashing passwords with BLAKE3 protects them from being directly exposed in data breaches.
Software package authenticity: Software developers can use BLAKE3 to create unique and verifiable identifiers for their packages, preventing package substitution attacks.
Blockchain applications: Due to its speed and security, BLAKE3 is finding adoption in blockchain technology for tasks like transaction verification and identity management.
General cryptographic primitives: The function's versatility makes it suitable for various other cryptographic applications where secure hashing and message authentication are required.
In summary, BLAKE3 is a modern and highly efficient cryptographic hash function that offers security, flexibility, and ease of use. Its impressive speed and adaptability make it a promising choice for a wide range of applications in the digital age.

The demo admin panel you see is definitely for site owners to manage all aspects of their online operation -- manage users, transactions / orders, broadcast e-mails, and so on. Same as Wordpress, every admin panel will have different menus depending on packages installed, which can be instantly installed without any development experience. Two main differences:
All packages, free and commercial, are hosted on central repository so no more collecting .zip files from multiple vendors.
You will view this as negative, but is not and will never be function within admin panel to install packages to upload .zip files as it's a huge security vulnerability and one of the many reasons Wordpress sites are hacked so frequently. You'll need to learn SSH if you don't already know it, but it's a quick 5 minute learning curve. Then you just login via SSH and type "apex install some-package", and done including new admin menus, etc.
You're right, currently available packages are quite slim due to lack of community. Have blog package half done here, but not complete yet, but obviously that would allow management of blog posts / categories / everything from admin panel.
This is also why the first item on my list of marketing strategies is developer competitions throughout colleges and universities with $1000 cash prize per-school to best package. That would immediately result in hundreds of packages being published to the central repository, free and commercial.
Let me ask you, if https://code.apexpl.io/ currently listed hundreds of packages for everythinh from e-commerce, ad management, seo, bunch of themes and so on, would that have changed your current perspective of the software?
Let me ask you something else. Haven't you ever been in sutuations where a client requests some functionality which from the outset seems like a straight forward request that should only take a few days, but it turns into a two months long nightmare with finnicky workarounds, etc.? Or have situations where this or that wasn't possible due to architectural reasons? Or have bugs appear in production that the client seen? Or struggled with hiring developers because they many tended to be of lower caliber?
Wouldn't you like all that to just disappear and all not only work, but work more seamlessly and with higher quality that you knew was possible?

Here, copy and paste from the pitch. Plus if you ask on basically any software development forum what piece of software needs modernization, almost everyone will say Wordpress.
Wordpress, the Problem
• 79.2% of websites utilize PHP, ~42% of all sites powered by Wordpress, estimated 500 new Wordpress sites created daily.
• Initially released May 2003, never kept pace with modern advancements in best practices and industry standards out of fear of upsetting the eco-system.
• Greatly neglects or even entirely omits basic, fundamental paradigms of modern development, including some introduced 18 years ago such as namespaces.
◦ Neglects object oriented programming, namespaces, traits, interfaces, dependency injection and others resulting in systems that are less maintainable and flexible.
◦ Omits Composer and autoloading causing bloat and less extensibility.
◦ No out of the box support for unit tests, static analyzers, or code sniffers undermining code quality and robustness.
◦ Utilizes antiquated event-driven development through hooks/actions (pull notifications) vs. leveraging modern event listeners (push notifications).
◦ Archaic plugin/theme system necessitates manual file uploads and modifications for installations and updates.
◦ Inflexible theme/template system that is challenging to customize and does not seamlessly integrate with modern front-end technologies like Vue.js or React.
◦ Exposes all PHP code files over public internet posing significant security vulnerabilities.
◦ Lacks native tools for message queues, distributed systems, microservices, and scalable operations further limiting its capabilities.
• The above points underscore the necessity for a modernized alternative as businesses endure undue stress and burden while engaging in an uphill battle to remain competitive and aligned with modern advancements, which becomes increasingly difficult due to legacy architecture
• Even Google Bard recognizes the allure of a Wordpress alternative, “Ultimately, the need for a modern-day replacement for WordPress remains a topic of debate within the PHP community. However, the arguments for a fresh platform leveraging modern advancements are compelling, and the possibility of a new framework pushing the boundaries of web development in PHP is certainly alluring.”
• In today's development landscape, most pipelines involve a patchwork of approximately eight different tools and services. This fragmented approach leads to suboptimal integration, inefficiencies, and challenges in maintenance.
Apex, the Solution
• After five years of iterative development and extensive testing, significantly shaped by feedback from the open source community, Apex has evolved to meet an exceptionally high standard of quality and caliber.
• Apex adopts all modern coding best practices, paradigms, and industry standards, while pushing the envelope to provide tighter and more seamless integration across all facets of the project development pipeline.
• With a focus on simplicity and a “simple is good” mantra, Apex offers a straight forward yet very powerful architecture providing an easy learning curve and enjoyable development experience. This approach allows developers familiar with PHP to grasp Apex within half a day.
• Modular architecture with centralized package repository offers seamless package installation, upgrades, and removals resulting in a highly extensible system. Example public repo: https://code.apexpl.io/apex/users/
• Developers earn passive income by marking packages as commercial and defining their own prices, which are then instantly listed for sale within integrated marketplace where they earn 70% of all sales while Apex retains 30%.
• AI assisted development, allowing the development of fully functional base systems within seconds that can later be easily customized and tweaked (demo: https://youtu.be/qrJZIt5R3PU ).
• Built-in and integrated CI pipeline providing automated unit testing, static analysis and code sniffing every commit / release.
• Wide range of support for scalability including horizontal scaling, message queues, pub / sub architecture, database replication, rotating SMTP servers, redis-cluster and more.
• Supports all facets of project development pipeline under one umbrella versus cobbling together a patchwork of 8+ products / services. Seamlessly supports version control, code repository, staging environment, team and ACL management, CI pipeline, easy three stage syncing, one line deployment, issue tracker, etc.
• Adopts the Symfony architecture, and consists of 18 components that can operate independently but when patched together form the overall Apex framework.

It's a free, open source software framework so it's free to use. ANd no, nobody is using it which is the furstrating part. Listening to feedback for years, it's finally great and everyone priases it, but nobody actually uses it.
Developers don't pay for it, revenue is various other streams. Two main ones are developers can publish packages to the centralized network, mark as commercial, set their own prices and receive 70% of all sales while the site gets 30% fee. Then sales of a commercial package allowing dev / design firms to setup their own private network preserving data privacy and security, plus various other revenue streams.
Here, if wanted this explains it better: https:?/apexpl.io/Apex_Pitch_Full.pdf
irritating, because if the folks who priase it and say very impressive, has great potential and so on actually picked it up and played with it, I know they would realize it's even better than wheir initial thoughts. I can't seem to get anyone to pick it up though, I think mainly because I'm an absolute nobody. Don't even like or use social media, and I've always been the tech guy behind the scenes.

Oh gee, and I was starting to get all hot, sweaty and frisky.

You're literally getting into the realm of two 7 year olds at the playground saying, "I know what you are, but what am I?" kind of argument.
This is the type of shit that when a bunch of AI powered robots decide us humans are more of a headache thann we are valuable, I'm going to think to myself, "yeah, that does actually make sense".
mdizak
You're still acting like a petulant 9yo child, so...
mdizak
Or in other words, you don't actually know but just like to try and bring others down when you don't know what the hell you're even on about.
mdizak
Ok, then what's the difference between a service and item?

My client of 9 years -- I was his tech lead. He was murdered, bullet found in the back of his head in a burned out SUV on a remote logging road in southern British Columbia.

Don't worry about the whole neo-nazi thing. That's just the media getting things wrong and making up sensationalist bullshit to get more clicks. I 100% promise you, he was definitely not a neo-nazi.
He was a great guy to work with, always treated me like a king. The FBI estimated his net worth at $1 billion.

Yummm, I guess I'll do my utmost. Fuck me.
Fuck off, that's solid.

Only problem I have with Laravel is it sucks donkey balls.
mdizak
That's exactly what I'm doing. Staying on top of warning messages by taking care of them before they become an actual issue. Again, no idea why this is so difficult for some of you to understand.
mdizak
It's called staying on top of things, and not getting left behind. I really don't understand what the fuck is so difficult to understand here.
mdizak
No, I just don't want to wait to take care of an issue until it turns into an actual error. Is it really that difficult to understand?
mdizak
Depends, as I'm always up for new friends. If you'd like, drop me a DM with some info about you. I may or may not give you my WhatsApp number.
mdizak
PS. No chat requests please. I'm blind, and Reddit chat is not accessible at all. Please DM or e-mail at [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) thanks.
Ohhh fuck, I've gotten that too. If you like SE Asia, then you must be mentally ill. I mean, what doesn't beait sitting by yourself in Canada spending $15k just to live so you can sit by yourself and wat wings from Doordash?
Then again, the people who generally bitch about that stuff also generally believe Singapore is a 3rd world shithole, so go figure.
