you need a bushing on that pipe. and generally speaking you cant use a panel as a raceway (the red black white going from top to bottom)

Please read the rules of the sub for the reason your post was removed, Violation of Rule #1.

as /u/N9bitmap said, first thing is its good you woke up. but problems from shocks can linger. especially muscle damage. when i got schocked and ended up in hospital on an EKG, my heart was fine but the docs told me to be on the lookout for brown urine. thats your muscles dying and can turn in to sepsis. i would recommend getting checked out. probably nothing, but is it really worth it?

mdxchaos

you know just enough about motors and wiring to be a danger to yourself, or the next guy

mdxchaos

Canada?

soldiered connections are not allowed on 120v must be crimped

mdxchaos

mdxchaos

this is British Columbia ya fucking yank

mdxchaos

the union does not exists in my city, but yeah, we would be way more expensive to do it ourselves then to hire it out to ppl who know how to move big heavy shit

mdxchaos

in 18 years, the company's ive worked for have always hired out to set switchgear. not worth the trouble. especially when you watch them tip it over and destroy it.

mdxchaos

first, call the utility. you need to find out if they will even serve you 600a. if they do great, ask them what they require. get a list. then call an electrical company and tell them what you want to do. they will come out and look and see what it will take with the list of requirements you got from your utility. then, go from there

mdxchaos

-Do I need to replace the wires feeding the existing panel to upgrade?

depends. you can get a 200a panel and just put a 100a breaker in it and not change the wires. or you could possibly have to change the wires if you want the full 200a. you would also have to make sure the lugs you have can accept being double tapped with the size of wire

mdxchaos

that really does not look like it would be causing any issue, the contact point is much higher on the pin then the break
